PHP, just don't let the guy get to you. Foe him. He has some personal agenda with Teddy, maybe because he wanted JFB, or maybe because he stood up for #7 for three years (and oddly hated Teddy before the year was halfway over).

It isn't worth the grief. He has one mission on the board and that's too trash Teddy. Either trying to subtly, or just dumping on him.

Andrew Luck had 2 games with a passer rating over 100 his rookie season.
Ryan Tannehill had 2.
Peyton Manning had 3.
Troy Aikman had 0.
Matt Ryan had 6.
Matt Stafford had 1 (missed a couple games due to injuries).
Sam Bradford had 3.
Joe Flacco had 5.

Teddy already has 4 with not playing in 3+ games and 1 more game to go. It may mean nothing, but he stacks up quite well to other pocket passers who were drafted in the first round and started their entire rookie season.

Unfortunately, Christian Ponder had 2 as well. Not saying that Ponder was anywhere near as good as Teddy has been, just putting it out there for comparison sake. I believe Teddy is going to be very good for us, but the fact of the matter is it's still too early to "prove" it one way or another.

I just made a request a couple of pages back for people to make an actual effort to avoid slipping into a divisive "us vs. them" mentality over Bridgewater and I'm seeing more of it here already. The board has seen enough of that in recent years. Please, make an effort.

Unfortunately playing QB in the NFL means you get too much of the blame when a team loses and too much credit when the team wins. It really doesn't matter how many points Teddy puts up, if the team doesn't win he is not looked considered a 'winner'. Especially when the team hasn't beaten any other team with a winning record this year. We have to just look at this year as a year for Teddy to get some experience under his belt and he has done quite well all things considered and there is hope for a better team next year.

Well I'm just saying....our offense puts up 35 points against a good defense and we still get beat. Not sure how that is entirely on Teddy

I think you are just too sensitive to any criticism of Teddy - I don't think anyone on here claims that the loss was entirely on Teddy and pretty much everyone agrees that the defense was the cause this game.

Some of the throws he made yesterday were dimes. Pretty awesome.

If he's able to keep that up, only then will he show signs of progress? Really? What are they wating for? For him to turn into the Hulk? When you really think about it, he's basically the Vikings offense right now. An offense that started at the bottom of the league and is now in the top 10 over the past several weeks. Passing yards? Only 6 other QBs have done better over the past 3 weeks. Passer rating? Only 4 have done better. Against weak defenses you say? He did it against the #10, #6, #2, and #8 defenses the past 4 weeks. IMO, the weight of the offense is all on Bridgewater. There are no other playmakers on this team to relieve pressure off of him. No Peterson, Patterson, or Harvin to break one to the house. No solid OL to make him feel secure when he drops back for a pass. I know 4 or 5 games is a very small sample size, but I think he's already proven he can perform in this league at a high level. If Bridgwater stopped his progress at this very moment, he'd still be better than any QB the Vikings have had since 2004. With his work ethic, mental toughness, and high football IQ, he's only going to get better.

I have criticized the guy myself!!! You act like I say Teddy can't be criticized and he's the best QB ever. My goodness I'm simply saying that our defense played like crap for the first time in a while. That's all. He had a 73% completion percentage and had a very good game so obviously I'm going to give him credit for that.

Over 5 throws of 20+ yards?

So who said it was entirely on Teddy? You are defending Teddy against something that no one said - that's why I said I think you are being too sensitive about Teddy (and no, that is not acting like I think you think Teddy is the best QB ever and shouldn't receive any criticism - that's just pure exaggeration on your part).

No one on this board has/is blaming TB for this loss . He played a very good game. Not to sensitive is an understatement.
And I get blasted for saying that Tannehill played a very good game 400 YDS. AND 4 TDS. (shame on me)
