Me too. Always a good way to start your week. I don't like it when some dude takes one part of your post and tries to make something bad of it just to start an argument

I know and they could easily be 3-1. I'm genuinely happy about the win and about them eliminating any chance of finishing with the worst record in franchise history. I really didn't want that to happen.

Well said on all points. The win, Cassel, the defense, Allen and Cook.
Thanks

USA Today @TomPelissero: Why'd #Bears kick FG on 2nd down in OT? Trestman said he felt they were in range, didn't want to risk penalty by running another play.

One thing for sure is that Frazier will continue to do what Frazier does, thus "not" giving the Vikings the best chance to win. It's not right for man to "hope" that a player gets hurt, but deep down, the gut churns uncontrollably. However, I'm not sure if it's wrong to hope that a "coach" gets hurt, or is it?

Cassel should have started the whole season.

Cassel brought them back down 10 late, even with Ellison's missed catch to INT at goal line. When last did Ponder do so? Ponder 1-6-1. Cassel 2-1 with loss to hot Carolina. W-L not all on the QB but food for thought.

I apologize. I thought when you gave praise and THEN followed that up with being critical about some of our defensive guys (and the defense as a whole), that you were, indeed, going negative. No argument. I just call it like I see it, but I was wrong. Those comments were all positive, all the time, as usual. :D

I'm really curious to see if he sticks around next year. Anyone think that if he does, that he might be the starter going into next season to let the potential rookie QB learn a bit? I wouldn't hate that.

That's what scares me too. Ziggy is still the same guy that hired Childress AND Frazier without interviewing anyone else. He's a businessman, not a Football guy. Hopefully he'll leave it up to Spielman (Or whoever may replace him) to pick out next Coach.

We can all send thank you cards to M. Trestman for this win. His decision to kick the FG from 47 yards on 2nd down and plenty of time left was probably the most idiotic move he could have made. It was that miss that allowed the Vikes to get great field position, move into FG range and win the game. He probably will be fired because of it when the Bears miss the post season.

Frazier: "Cassel did a good job making those routine throws on a consistent basis."
I like how Frazier calls them "routine throws," even though Ponder rarely even SEES them, let alone make them.
Question: "Is Christian Ponder still a consideration as a starter next week?"
Frazier: "Of course he is."
Wow. I thought Frazier would wait until at least Wednesday to start leaning toward Ponder as the starter.

Blackmail must be in play here. Compromising photos, perhaps?

I will give the Vikings the benefit of the doubt and say they picked the guy who performed better in camp. Cassel was probably not going to start regardless. However, Cassel didn't do enough to lose the job after the Panthers game (see how well they're doing now). The Freeman signing was a total waste. Cassel should have been the QB for the Giants game, and ever since then. He's obviously better than Ponder. Not a great talent, but certainly competent enough to give the Vikings a chance to be competitive in most games.
