I don't know why we have people complaining.

If going into the draft I told you we would have Sharrif Floyd, Xavier Rhodes, and Cordarrelle Patterson in exchange for picks 23, 25, 52, 83, and 102, everyone would be ecstatic.

That is amazing for 3 guys that were supposed to go in the top 15 picks, according to many places.

I am so glad that pick wasnt Teo or Ogetree. Ponders going to have targets this year, even Carlson should be around full time. No more excusses.

From Greg Cosell:
He’s a multi-dimensional weapon that can align anywhere in the formation, including the backfield, which he did at Tennessee. He is dynamic with the ball in his hands: shifty, elusive and explosive. He has open field movement ability that you cannot teach. And remember, he’s 6-foot-2 and 216 pounds. But don’t lose sight of the fact that Patterson has much work to do as receiver. At this point, he is not as quick and explosive as a route runner as he is with the ball in his hands. He’s more measured and methodical. He has little sense of the pace and tempo of route running, and how to set up and beat corners. But he has the athletic traits you look for; in addition, he showed good hands, and a willingness to make tough catches in the middle of the field.

Draftniks will probably really like the Vikings draft...but the thing that I'm happy about is that I'll have more time to get on top of getting myself moved out and into my new place tomorrow night.

I hope you're not expecting Patterson to be a major contributor this year. He has a LOT to learn. If anything, he might make things more difficult on Ponder if he can't run precise routes.

After getting past the gravity of the picks given up, this is basically what it boils down to. I didn't see a single mock that was as good as getting Floyd, Rhodes, and Patterson in the first 3 rounds. Not even close. I just hope the Vikings don't start dealing next year's picks.

He can probably do just as much in the offense as Percy. Mr. Bubbles.

The Vikings definitely took a big swing.

Will he be DHB? Moss? WIlliamson?

Risky, risky, risky.
