Wow!Tom Pelissero @TomPelissero 30m
Boy, those bookmakers know their stuff. #Packers 23, #Vikings 14
Here's the deal with QB evaluation - is the guy showing improvement? Is he making the throws he should make? Is he showing more awareness? Is he gaining a sense of confidence?FK28 wrote: this is exactly what i am saying! everybody has decided he cant qb! decision made without a trial. guilty till proven innocent without the chance to show proof!

They were utterly worn down by then. See time of possession thread.Mothman wrote:The defense gave up an 11 minute scoring drive in the 4th quarter when the Vikings were trailing by just 6 points. I realize Ponder's INTs were brutal but how is that excusable in a 6 point game?

Ponder is failing in this. The mistakes are the same every week. The same tendencies show up. He's not showing growth.
The thing that bugs me is this is the pros. Guys who make it to this level shouldn't need to be coddled. You make a pro team, you perform. Maybe younger guys get a little more slack than vets, but just a little. If you're a starter, you get treated like a starter.
Frazier is making a big mistake by protecting Ponder. He may be a player's coach (whatever that means), but he could easily lose his locker room if they begin to believe Ponder is costing them games. That doesn't appear to have happened yet, but a few more like today at home might turn things decidedly against both Ponder and Frazier.
Not trying to be too emotionally reactionary, but I dont think I would mind that happening.VikingLord wrote: Here's the deal with QB evaluation - is the guy showing improvement? Is he making the throws he should make? Is he showing more awareness? Is he gaining a sense of confidence?

You realize we have seen him play QB in the NFL before right? And he looked even more lost than Ponder. Same lack of accuracy. no touch. No ability to read defenses. They tried moving him back to receiver AFTER giving him a shot at QB.FK28 wrote: this is exactly what i am saying! everybody has decided he cant qb! decision made without a trial. guilty till proven innocent without the chance to show proof!
