I agree. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Putting him in the game and throwing him into that dumpster fire had more chance of doing harm than good.

And I also agree about the offensive line. There's lots of blame to Cassel, but at the same time, there wasn't clear pockets. The entire line seemed to get pushed back all into the same area around the center, which created a mess of bodies and freed up someone on N.E. to hit Cassel free and clear. I don't care to see Teddy getting involved in that mess.

So what if Teddy starts? We no longer have a running game, our WRs and TEs drop balls everywhere and o-line cant pass project anything. Going to be a fun next three years at least.

Today doesn't change much in my opinion. They still have to exercise restraint about when to install Bridgewater. The worst thing you can do to a Rookie QB is put him in too early and then have to yank him back out. We know what Cassell is. He's a game manager at best. He's also also due to have a few clunkers now and then. We just have to deal with it for now, because it won't be long before the time is really right for the change.

This is a case where you have to look best interest long term. That doesn't mean panicking and throwing in Teddy in hopes of saving a season, or saying "screw it, we aren't gonna win anything this year" either. The timing also needs to be right too. Do you really want to send a Rookie into shoot out games with Brees, Rogers, Stafford & Ryan over the next several weeks? Without Peterson for backup, and and Oline that suddenly looks shaky?

That being said, I'd put money on their hand being forced and seeing Bridgewater within the next 3 games.

I'm going to break down the film tonight, I'll post my review of Cassel vs the Blitz and vs Pressure, and truly try to objectively analyze his picks..

I remember him making at least one terrific throw against the blitz early in the game (I think he hit Rudolph). An unblocked blitzer came right up the middle and Cassel stood in there and delivered a strike.

Unfortunately, most of his performance today wasn't of that same caliber.

I look forward to seeing your analysis.

No doubt, that 1st drive was amazing - I was on cloud 9. Then a HEAVY dose of reality brought me back to earth...... :nono:

I want everyone who hasn't watched this AMAZING Tape of Teddy vs Fla. to please watch this.

I know its not against NFL defenses. But you have to remember, only he and One other guy we're drafted from that year's offense. While Florida had 4 defenders selected that year. So it wasn't exactly an NFL O-line either.... Just watch the plays TED makes..

These are the reasons I love Teddy Bridgewater.. its TDT2MBW time yall..

Guys, You can say what you will, but his game translates to the next level!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0lrdEqS4q0

the personell isn't so much as important, in my opinion, as is his experience in these SITUATIONS. He does a miraculous job against nothing but the blitz, the cardinals knew we weren't running the football. They could just pin their ears back and put pressure on us, and count on coverages.
But Ted, handled this like a pro. Made reads, stood tall in the pocket, made decisive throws.. He can improve so much , and he seems like a hard worker. Lets get him more situations...

If you don't watch the full vid, PLEASE FAST FORWARD TO 3:07 in the Video, THIS IS THE LOOK OF A STONE COLD KILLER... TDT2MBW

Im not going to lie, I kept expecting Teddy to blow it (Been a vikings fan for far too long) I came away really surprised with this really weird thought in the back of my head.........Is it true? Did we finally pick the right guy? I have no voice anymore from screaming Teddy at the TV! My wife doesn't even like football but she sat through the whole game and kept chanting Teddy. Both me and my son were rocking our Bridgewater jersey's at dinner after the game, felt really really good man, best I have felt about the vikings in a long time.
