Diggs has done this for two years and people have bitten hook, line, and sinker with his intentional ####-stirring.

Didn't he do that like months ago before the Vikings beat the Saints? He thrives on getting people going.

The Vikings are currently 2nd to last in cap space in 2021, have only 10 million in cap this year (which means 6 million to sign players after the rookies take their cut) and have 6 starters on defense returning.

They have no viable NT, one of the worst 3 techs in football, an outside corner who has not come close to starting 16 games without getting hurt, a drug addict at the other CB spot and a part time DE who has been cut by 3 teams in 2 seasons.

The only spots where we are set are safety, RDE and LBer on defense.

This is going to be a long year.

So how many threads are you going to post your overreactions in? How anyone knows it’s going to be a long year after day 1 of free agency when we still have plenty of talent and 13 draft picks is beyond me.

Pondering Her Percy wrote: Mon Mar 16, 2020 12:43 pm Wow and some guys complain about our coach and GM. Imagine being a Texans fan right now and having Bill O'Brien as your HC and GM.

Houston just traded Deandre Hopkins and a 4th round pick to Arizona for David Johnson, a 2nd and a 2021 4th. So you trade, IMO, the best overall WR in the NFL for a potentially washed up RB with a monster contract and get minimal picks in return. Bill OBrien needs to go hide under a rock. I'd be losing my mind right now as a fan.
One of the worst trades in NFL history.

We traded away arguably our best play maker on offense, gave an extension to a QB who has proven he needs a great team around him to even make the playoffs that severely limits the FAs we can bring in to create that great team, and are going to lose at least 4 starters from last year's top 5 scoring defense. I don't think I am overreacting.

I’m sorry but cook and Thielen are bigger playmakers on this offense. Cousins didn’t necessarily have a “great” team around him this year. It was one of the worst defenses in a while under zimmer and he had a bad OL, and no Thielen for a lot of the year.....and he made the playoffs.....and beat an nfc favorite on the road....

Sorry if this is a clueless question.....but did someone just say the the VIKES gave an Extension to Cousins?!?
Really?
If so, then we just got ensured a bunch of seasons of futility..........

6th best rushing attack, 5th best scoring defense (2nd lowest under ppg under Zimmer), 5th fewest sacks given up and the longest time to throw in the NFL. Tough to get much better than that.

There ya go, go nitpick and hunt for stats to try and make a point. Bottom line is, anyone with eyes could tell you this defense took a big dip this year and is on the downhill trend, not uphill. Paint the picture anyway you want but you don’t have an argument here

You use your opinion to dispute my facts and claim I don't have an argument?

Completely agree the defense is on a downhill trend, we are going to lose a number of starters. It was better in 2019 than 2018 though, and was the 2nd best since Zim got here. I am only basing that on the actual statistics and not my opinion though, so take that for what it is worth.

If that's your opinion on the Vikings getting a reasonable extension for one of the best QBs in the NFL maybe you should cheer for the Bears. :steamed:

No you’re basing it off of the statistics that help your argument. I can imagine there are plenty out there that don’t
