I agree with what you are saying about Bradford.

I guess we have to trust in Zimmer and the gang.
I think that they made a move that affords us to move forward this year.
Looking at what starting quarterbacks are making Bradford is reasonable.

Seeing a lot of doom on Teddy returning. The guy hasn't even had surgery yet. Lets wait and see how it goes.
Everybody responses different to injuries...Take AP for example.

Heck, in arguably the two most important games of the 2015 season for the Vikes (the season finale with the division on the line and the playoff game), he threw for a whopping 245 total yards and 0 TDs and missed wide open receivers.

People need to stop bringing up the playoff game. It was in historically cold temperatures. One of the best QBs in the LEAGUE threw for a whopping 142 yards.

Well.. if we win the SB I won't be too mad. But dang.. that is a steep price for an injury-prone QB with less than stellar production.

I agree. A first round pick for a QB with an injury history? Too pricey.

OTOH, there are some positives about Bradford, especially if he can stay healthy.

As for any plans on winning the SB, I'm reserving that hope until the regular season plays out.

True. Most Hall of Fame QBs are already All-Pros by that time. QBs never need time to develop.

Hey, I'm not the one putting high expectations on him. Rather than talking about how he's the team's future and their Super Bowl hopes were riding on him, I've actually been vocal about how much more development he needs and I've never said that doesn't take time. I didn't expect him to be an all-pro in his first 2 years or this season. I'm just stating the obvious: he's been the QB of one of the league's least effective passing games. If they're doomed with Sam Bradford, they were likely doomed with Bridgewater.

Okay, I can stick with the 99 yards and the left-handed interception with the division on the line a week earlier and the low production for the year. The point is that he's been below average, hardly irreplaceable.

Would you rather have Manziel then Bradford too? You act as if Bradford is some great downgrade from Bridgewater but when faced with the fact that he is likely a statistical upgrade you seem to use Teddys youth as an excuse.

Youth isn't an excuse. It's what happens when you're young. Do people not understand that QBs can develop? Am I nuts? What is the great Aaron Rodgers had to start out of the gate? It's not absurd to believe one can see Teddy developing and that as a young (there's that excuse again!) QB in a run-first system behind an embarrassment of an o-line that he wasn't going to put up crazy numbers anyway!

I have no idea what Manziel has to do with anything. I think most of our miscommunication is you're seeing and evaluating Teddy as a veteran on a balanced or pass-dominant offense, and not a guy going into his third season on a run-first team.

I hope so. He has the arm to hit those deeper intermediate routes that, prior to coming to the Vikes, were the bread and butter of Turner's offense. That's a plus.

I agree, but he did look to have much improved mechanics this preseason. So I'm pretty sure he would have been better this season. How much better, I dunno, but 3rd year is usually when players really make a jump. I think it's also possible, that Bradford is actually an upgrade, depending on how fast he can learn Norvs difficult system.

I'm not talking about PFF grades or advanced stats for accuracy on throws of 10-15 yards under a crescent moon. Bridgewater didn't even throw the kind of routes I'm talking about much.

Bradford can be used as trade bait again once Teddy comes back healthy. If Bradford plays well, we might get more for him since he was disgruntled this year. There's also a scary possibility that Teddy isn't ready for next year or ever potentially and Bradford becomes our QB for the foreseeable future.

I really like this. It proves that the Vikings are in it to win it. Another reason I really like it is because Bradford is pumped about it. Giving up a first is meh in my mind. How many first rounders are busts? Williamson ring a bell to anyone?

Bradford comes into a offense that has a lot of weapons and I think will flourish in this offense.

He was by far and away the best possible option, better than sanchez, Murray, Mccarron, Glennon, etc.....

I really don't understand the hate on this, and people saying that he is not that much of a upgrade over Hill are just flat wrong. You know what happens if hill is our qb? Teams stack against the run, put a safety over the top and our offense does nothing because hill doesn't have the arm strength, he floats the ball.
