Re: Week 13 Predictions: Seahawks at Vikings
I have seen at least 3 articles, 2 written by Viking 'fans' or 'reporters' stating Clemming is doing much better and he shouldnt be getting bad name for the poor coaching (I agree if the bad coaching refers to some of what Norv is trying to do, I dont know enough about Davidson to say, but I dont even think hes an average OL Coach.) How the heck did we let Tice get out of the Vikings org.? Oh thats right, Ziggy led Childress on the field, after a win, and a 9-7 season and fired his butt. Thats called bad management. I'll never forgive the Wilfs for that. Like the team has cleaned up right after that. Bad insight. I believe Rick was around for that too.
Also, I think there more on youtube, but someone posted a few here, of Teddy taking hits. The man doesnt ever have time to take 1 friggin step back and the entire D is on his bum, or chasing him. But lets keep putting so much blame on teddy for not getting the ball of soon. Maybe just have Berger let it touch Teddy's finger tips and throw it as fast as he can to the million dollar loser named Wallace. Man, I wanna see more CP, CJ, Diggs, and Wright, and a lot less Wallace on the field.

No, Spielman was hired in 2007 after Tice had been fired, after Childress had been hired and after the first draft of the Childress era (which was conducted by Fran Foley).PurpleKoolaid wrote:I have seen at least 3 articles, 2 written by Viking 'fans' or 'reporters' stating Clemming is doing much better and he shouldnt be getting bad name for the poor coaching (I agree if the bad coaching refers to some of what Norv is trying to do, I dont know enough about Davidson to say, but I dont even think hes an average OL Coach.) was unhappy about the way Tice was fired too (and the decision to fire him).
It's not so simple. There are plays where he has no time but it's a huge exaggeration to say there are never plays where he has time. Also, I think there more on youtube, but someone posted a few here, of Teddy taking hits. There are also plays where he gets the ball out late but that doesn't happen all the time either. Sometimes he gets the ball out on time perfectly,
The guy shouldn't be above fair criticism.

Re: Week 13 Predictions: Seahawks at Vikings
He should be treated fairly. Like knowing what the coaches actually are asking him to do. Its my bet they are telling him multiple things to do (and not do). Manage the game, but throw more, but NO INT'S in the red zone. Just like our former #7. I think they Fraizier and Co.) messed him up so much by the time he was starting games, he hadnt a clue what was wanted of him. They cut him apart about those sideline passes that turned into INTs, so sometimes he just off running up the middle, running into a blitz or his own lineman. I do like this this OC much better then the one Ponder had, nor the Oline coach.

He needs to let his receivers make plays. Thats what they paythem for... Let the try to go after the ball.

@eric_j_thompson Why missing Joseph is huge for the #Vikings: Rawls has forced 23 missed tackles on 122 rushes. Peterson has forced 36 on 237 attempts.
@eric_j_thompson Harrison Smith has allowed one reception for every 60.2 snaps in coverage. Earl Thomas has allowed one in every 32.9 snaps.

Without Linval I feel more confident in predicting this one as a L.dead_poet wrote:

You're right. The QB can't walk over to the receiver and hand the ball to him. The receivers have to make catches and big plays happen whenever the ball is catchable. OTOH, I think DP has a point about Bridgewater's timing being off, which negatively affects the receiver as well.PurpleMustReign wrote:He needs to let his receivers make plays. Speaking of the WRs, I think Turner should re-design the route tree and dump some of the long-developing routes. The OL can't sustain blocks for long, the WRs aren't really heady receivers that can out maneuver defenders (as much as out-quick them), and quicker hitting routes would give these speedy WRs a better chance to run after the catch. It also might cause Teddy to get rid of the ball faster.

If the Vikes cannot beat a "quality team" at home with a whole lot at stake, then they do not deserve to be in the play-offs. That being said I predict the Vikes win this game 28 to 24.

Rubbish. Whether they win or lose to the Seahawks doesn't determine whether they "deserve" to be in the playoffs. If their record is good enough they'll make the playoffs. Nobody "deserves" anything. I hate that word.

So even though this team cannot seem to ever win a clutch, prime time game (Packer loss most recent example) and then lose at home to the Sea Hawks and probably the Cardinals you think that beating a bunch of sub par teams should/would give them the right to go into the play-offsfiestavike wrote:

I think if they have the record to get into the playoffs, they will get into the playoffs.Purple bruise wrote: So even though this team cannot seem to ever win a clutch, prime time game (Packer loss most recent example) and then lose at home to the Sea Hawks and probably the Cardinals you think that beating a bunch of sub par teams should/would give them the right to go into the play-offsWell I will stick to my "they don't deserve to get into the play-offs" anymore than teams that have less than .500 winning percentages, win their divisions and go onto the play-offs ahead of team with better records in other divisions.
