Man how can anyone not want this guy though  I feel like he would make this offense so much better and much more balanced

I want him. Just not for a 1st or 2nd round pick. Other positions are more important and make a bigger difference in regards to the production vs the talent.

Well I can tell you that you wont get him for cheaper than a 2nd because there's not a chance he lasts that long. As for production, he's one of the best backs to come out in a while. Imagine if we can get Cooper and Gordon for this offense! They are the two best offensive players in this draft. This offense needs talent. We have ZERO running game right now and will have a shot at the best RB to come out in a long time. Being one dimensional like we are now makes it much easier for teams to game plan against us. Having Teddy see stacked boxes is going to make things a lot easier for him. I'm not saying take him with our first overall pick but I can tell you right now, if we want him, we have to get him on a trade up back into the first round or take him in the second. I can guarantee he won't make it to the 3rd

I don't know if you like in, or watch a lot of Big 10 games, but Gordon is good. He is better then I though (and think Gurely) ever was. HE still isn't better, for this tea, at this time, as a WR is. My 3 are Cooper, Parker and White. And I bet Rick can go after them all with some type of deal. Don't forgot there are RB in later rounds, like my man Cobb. There are no Coopers and Parkers ESPECIALLY with their history of or QB) in the later rounds. Now if both Tackles and guards are stinking the next 2 games, and offseason, I may have to bite the bullet and hope we don't blow the pick on another Kalil. I will be so sad if we don't have Cooper or Parker on this team. May have to buy any extra bottle of Knob Creek Rye.

I agree there are other backs out there but Gordon is above and beyond other backs. But that can go for Cooper as well when it comes to WRs. The only offensive skilled player I would take over Gordon is Cooper right now. Parker is close but I would still take Gordon. The same thing goes for WRs as well when it comes to others being out there. There is still solid talent In the 2nd-3rd rounds as well

He also has the Badgers offensive line.

Gordon and Cooper? No way I'd trade up for Gordon. Run with what we have, give Teddy a WR and a G. Don't need to invest that much in a HB.

Says who?? We have ZERO running game right now. There is no tell McKinnon can handle the work, Asiata can't get out of his own way, Tate is a cast off, and Banyard has been a practice squad guy his whole career. But yeah let's continue to drop Teddy back 40+ times a game and become a 1 dimensional offense.

Gordon's selection range is gong to be anywhere between 20 and the early 2nd IMO. If Cooper is gone, I say draft Scherff and come back with Gordon. Look for a WR in the 3rd. I know some might not be big on Charles Johnson and I'm not at times either but he's doing a pretty darn good job right now. There is no tell if a guy like Parker or White would come in and overtake Johnson day 1 with the way Johnson has been playing. If we drafted Gordon, he is a day 1 starter no questions asked and a damn good one at that.

I'm not saying we have to go RB early but if Gordon is there and we are in position to take him by either trading back into the first or in the second, I think it's a no-brainer

Another option we will have on draft day: Denzel Perryman

This guy couldn't fit Zimmer's defense any better IMO. He's the most sure tackler I have seen come out in a long time. I've been drooling over this guy's play on the field.

McKinnon was averaging 4.8 ypc. We are 15th in ypg rushing. How is that ZERO running game? We're bottom 5 in passing yards. Not only did he have a solid rushing average, but he was pretty solid as a pass catching back as well. How much of an upgrade is any rookie back over 4.8 ypc? And he was running behind this offensive line? A WR, CB, MLB, G, etc is so much more of an upgrade in production. Hell we could sign a free agent HB who likely wouldn't be that much worse than any rookie. Seahawks won a SB signing a free agent veteran back. Teams win super bowls with free agents and no names. Because the value isn't there. The difference in production isn't worth the investment.

Our most productive WR is a last minute practice squad signing. Jennings struggles to get open, 4for1 should be converted to a running back at this point. There are a lot bigger needs than a HB. And we can find a HB elsewhere. Like most competitive teams...

I think White is VERY overrated. I saw him get completely shutdown by TCU's secondary (White was, ironically, the name of the guy assigned to him that day). He couldn't catch a ball and looked absolutely pedestrian.

As I have said, I have no problem with McKinnon but Norv wasnt giving him the carries he should be given before he went down. Which makes me wonder if he thinks he can be a workhorse. Also if he goes down....what do we rely on?? Asiata again?? Banyard? Tate? None of them can do anything now so obviously we need to improve that position but I question if Mckinnon can be the workhorse. I don't believe he was drafted for that reason. He ran good when he was in no doubt but I question if he can do it all. I could be wrong but who knows. All I know is Gordon has all the tools to be a legitimate back. If the staff thinks Mckinnon can do it all, then I trust them. However we definitely need a legitimate backup and not a guy like Asiata that can't get out of his own way.

All I'm saying regarding Gordon is that with RB probably being somewhat of a need, I don't want to miss out on the best RB prospect to come out of college in a long time. We might be better off selecting a combination of WR, OL, and CB in the early rounds and snag Gurley somewhere around the 3-5 rounds. That would be a steal and a half

Yeah I really don't want White at all. Cooper or Parker

I wasn't so sure about White either, until you look at his stats. Plus, I think we could trade down, and still get a huge offensive weapon for Teddy. We don't know know if we need a RB, if AD is coming back, but Cobb could fill that role a lot better then spending our first pick on Gordon. Cause he is going to go high.
