What excites me is the quality assistants that appear to be coming in with Zimmer. The only one that gives me pause is George Edwards, because of his less-than-stellar track record as a DC.

Adam Zimmer for DB coaches has been confirmed

Scott Turner for QB coach was just confirmed by NFL Radio.

Davidson retained as OLine coach is pretty much a done deal

That wasn't aimed at any specific poster, since we all conflict with others at any given time. But there do seem to be one or two who stir up the hornet's nest whether their intention or not.

So, basically, they're starting to hire their own kids? It's a little scary if that gives anyone confidence in the staff.

I think that is a dangerous dynamic. That is a choice that gives me pause. I do love the idea of Norv Turner as OC. I think he was the best choice. And if anyone believes the NFL coaching ranks are only a meritocracy, well....

well Bengal Pride and Viking Bleacher report are both confirming Zimmer. Bengals gave him his release Friday according to Bengal Pride so he could take the DB job in Minnesota but who knows. maybe both sons will be assisrants to the head guy pf the position. but Bengal Pride says Adam has been coaching for 10 years and is highly thought of in coaching circles as he has only been with his dad for this past year.

DB coach is one thing. But considering the situation we're in, giving Turner the QB coach job, when from what I could find he's never been a QB coach. And only has one year as an assistant? Last year as a WR coach with the Browns?...Kinda think a veteran guy with decades in the game trying to help out a future franchise QB would be a better idea...

how about favre for qb coach? LOL
