Obviously he wasn't earning starters money in Chi-town....so they didn't have the option to use him as a sub. I think they had other issues with him that went beyond performance.

That's what I'd heard. Motivation in the NFL is a tough one....especially the big dudes. McKinnie is a prime example. Webb just doesn't seem to have the motivation and mentality for the game. Maybe the Vikes think Frazier and o-line coach Jeff Davidson can finally get him to play consistently.

Make no mistake: Webb, 25, still possesses immense physical skills, gifts that are more than sufficient for him to be an NFL starter for years to come.
But it’s all of little consequence if nobody can coax them out consistently. The Bears finally realized this, and acted accordingly.

Is the waiver process any different, or is it still 24 hours?
