Vikes are something like 1-12 in their last 13 games in Soldier Field. Bad things just happen when we play the Bears in Chicago. Even when we are the better team. Which doesn't look like that's the case yet.

I agree that on paper, we can win this game. We can pound the ball on them. But bad things happen. Like AD fumbles. And a quick strike TD to Marshall, and we are playing from behind. And we all know how Ponder plays against a tough D when coming from behind (in most cases).

I'll go with my standard Vikes blowout loss - 31-13 Bears. And no, I'm not just saying that because I want to jinx the Bears. I have their defense in my fantasy league, and they are outscoring all but the top line players in the league. It's hard to imagine that they don't get a score or two against a turnover prone team like the Vikes have been lately.

I would really like that score to be reversed. Okay, maybe 29-13, with Walsh getting five FG's (I have him in my fantasy league too - I knew the Vikes offense would bog down and produce a lot of FG attempts).

Vikings have a mediocre offense. Not enough explosive plays on offense. If cutler plays they wont win.
Bears 27 vikings 17

I swear I don't know who I can't stand more. Their cockeyed coach or pretty boy who always has this smirk on his face I want to slap
Can't explain it. Always been that way. Probably because I live in Iowa and not Minnesota, so there's no border rivalry for the Fudge Packers for me.

I would not be upset if the Bears went 0-16 every year.

My reply is the same, nonetheless (Matthews is not all that pretty either) :P (The joke is: I'm OK with not being able to stand them and wanting to slap them, just not agreeing they are pretty - Rodgers or Matthews)

Have the Vikes named their active roster for Sunday yet? If they did not deactivate Harvin and listed him as doubtful how cool would it be if they were sandbagging Harvin so that the Bears would not be preparing for him then he sees significant playing time and is not as bad as it is being reported

Twitter Sat @AdamSchefter: Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin will not play Sunday vs. Chicago due to his ankle injury.

Bummer. I was hoping the bye week would give him enough time to heal and play.

The Vikes are going to need another strong performance from Peterson and they need Rudolph to step up again. It's way past time for Carlson to become a genuine factor in the passing game too. Wright, Simpson and Jenkins aren't going likely to worry the Bears too much on their own.

The winning formula should be simple for the Vikes defense: don't let Forte beat you and pressure the QB.... relentlessly.

On special teams: stop Hester.

I think this one will be close unless the Vikes commit multiple turnovers. If that happens, it may get ugly.

I'll be at the game so I'm going to optimistically predict a Vikes win. It's about time I saw another one here at Soldier Field! :)

Hey!!!
<--------- Uruguay!
(Oddly enough, most everyone is an NFC North fan - best friend down here is a Bears fan, another is a Lions fan - a second Lions fan moved - and one sad Chiefs fan also).
