Defensive Backs:
Andrew Sendejo - 62 snaps
Xavier Rhodes - 62 snaps
Harrison Smith - 62 snaps
Terence Newman - 50 snaps
Captain Munnerlyn - 38 snaps
Trae Waynes - 11 snaps

Like the breakdown but for whatever reason, I'm still not worried about Waynes. I really like what he showed in the SD game. He'll come into his own. Chances are he won't be starting until next year anyways. Rhodes didnt do much at all his rookie year either so stats like that don't really mean much to me

Yea I agree, Wilson, Kap, Flacco, Eli..
What?!?! Russel Wilson goes to 2 straight Super Bowls, wins 1 of them, and he's not top 10? He has the numbers to prove he is, too.
As for Flacco & Eli, they were both top 10 when they won their super bowl, for sure.
And Kap, well, he didn't win it.

2014 QB Stats:
Passing Yards
Brees - 4952
Roethlisberger - 4952
Luck - 4761
Manning, P. - 4727
Ryan - 4694
Manning, E. - 4410
Rodgers - 4381
Rivers - 4286
Stafford - 4257
Brady - 4109
15 - Wilson - 3475
Completion Percentage
Romo - 69.9
Brees - 69.2
Roethlisberger - 67.1
Rivers - 66.5
Tannehill - 66.4
Manning, P. - 66.2
Ryan - 66.1
Cutler - 66.0
Rodgers - 65.6
Smith - 65.3
20 - Wilson - 63.1
Touchdown Passes
Luck - 40
Manning, P. - 39
Rodgers - 38
Romo - 34
Brady - 33
Brees -33
Roethlisberger - 32
Rivers - 31
Manning, E. - 30
Ryan - 28
16 - Wilson - 20
Passer Rating
Romo - 113.2
Rodgers - 112.2
Roethilisberger - 103.3
Manning, P. - 101.5
Brady - 97.4
Brees - 97.0
Luck - 96.5
Palmer - 95.6
Fitzpatrick - 95.3
10 - Wilson - 95.0
Out of the four most important QB statistic categories Wilson ranked in the top 10 in only one of them (and arguably the least important) Passer Rating. In the other categories he was only in the top half of the league in one of them (passing yards). I have to disagree with you. Wilson was not a top 10 QB last year. Further, I don't believe he was even a top 15 QB last year.
2013 QB Stats
Passing Yards
16 - Wilson
Completion Percentage
12 - Wilson
Touchdown Passes
10 - Wilson
Passer Rating
7- Wilson
So in 2013, Wilson was in the top 10 in two of the four categories. I still would not rank him as a top 10 QB that year. I would put him in the top 15 for 2013 though.
Going back to the original comment, I do not believe that you have to have a top 10 QB in order to succeed in the playoffs. Wilson is a perfect example of this. Based off his numbers, he has not been a top 10 QB the past two years, yet his team has managed to make the Super Bowl in both years and even won one of them.

Where are you getting that Wilson is or ever was top 10? I mean, seriously? You say he has the numbers, but he uhh, doesn't, to be quite frank.
Also, Id have t go back and look to be sure, but Eli i don't think was top 10 either of his SB years.

While I agree with your point, Passer rating is far from the 'least important' statistic on measuring a QB, as long as proper context is maintained. Russell Wilson has a great passer rating because he is a great game manager, not a top 10 QB.

Here's Eli's Stats from 2007 and 2011 (Super Bowl winning years)
2007
Passing Yards
12- Eli Manning
Completion Percentage
29 - Eli Manning
Passing Touchdowns
11 - Eli Manning
Passer Rating
25 - Eli Manning
So again not a Top 10 QB in any category.
2011
Passing Yards
4- Eli Manning
Completion Percentage
14 - Eli Manning
Passing Touchdowns
7- Eli Manning
Passer Rating
7 - Eli Manning
For 2011, one could argue that Eli was a top 10 QB.

Keep in mind when analyzing/comparing stats the offense and number of attempts per season. For some comparison:
(2014)
Brees: 659
Ryan: 628
Luck: 616
Roethlisberger: 608
Rivers: 570
Wilson 2014: 452 attempts (19th)
Wilson 2013: 407 attempts (22)
Wilson had more wins than any other quarterback in NFL history though his first three seasons. Wilson's career numbers so far stack up with the best quarterbacks in the NFL over the last three years. He's one of six quarterbacks with at least 9,000 passing yards, 60 touchdowns and 500 rushing yards during that span. Here are some more fun facts:
-Wilson is the only QB in NFL history to appear in two SB's in his first three seasons.
-Wilson is the first QB in NFL history with a passer rating of over 95.0 in each of his first three seasons.
-Wilson has 24 games with a passer rating of 100+ in his first three seasons ... more than any other QB in NFL history. Flacco, Marino and Palmer are tied for second with 19.
-Wilson leads all QB's in the NFL over the last three years with 10 fourth quarter comebacks and 15 game-winning drives. No other QB in NFL history has ever done this in their first three years.
-Wilson is the first and only QB in NFL history to throw for 300+ yards and run for 100+ yards (313 and 106) in the same game -- against the Rams on Oct. 19, 2014.
-Wilson led all NFL rushers in 2014 with an average of 7.2 yards per carry.
-Wilson has a record of having had a lead at some point in 56 straight games since 2012 -- the old record was 45 games. Also, in those 56 games, Wilson has never lost an NFL game by more than nine points.
-Wilson has won 36 games in his first three seasons, three more than any other QB in NFL history.
Including the postseason, Wilson has won 42 games in his first three seasons, six more than any other QB in NFL history.

This is the outlook I have had for years. I don't see anything now or have any hope that TB will be no more than average. There are good qb's that overcome bad line play, bad defenses, interceptions, etc. I have seen nothing in TB's play that warrants that. The only redeeming quality is his ability to remain poised most times. Won't do a qb any good to be poised and still not accomplish his goals.

Well said. Potential needs to be realized. Bridgewater has potential. He's smart, poised and capable but overall, he's looked depressingly average so far. He (and the passing game) need to be much more productive.
My mind keeps going back to a quote from ESPN writer Mike Sando's annual "QB Tiers" column, which we discussed on the board this summer. The quote I'm thinking about can be found
here.
In the column, Bridgewater was viewed as a "Tier 3" quarterback, a QB who is "good enough to start but need lots of support, making it tougher to contend at the highest level."
The quote that kind of haunts me is " A GM challenged anyone to find an area where Bridgewater projected as above average".

Yeah, so far Bridgewater has put up Ponderish numbers but I think saying "no hope that he will be no more than average" is a little premature. Some of us even gave Ponder the full 3 years before throwing in the towel

The Vikes made that tough because even they didn't give him quite that long but yes, some of us tried (awkwardly raises hand).
I agree that it's premature to declare what Bridgewater
will be as a quarterback. After all, none of us can see the future and he's only played about one season's worth of games in the NFL. It concerns me that his best qualities seem to be the relatively intangible qualities so I see why Steve lacks hope that TB will ever be more than average but as we keep saying, time will tell.
