Yes, that's what it says, and why I bolded the delay of game part. And of course it's correct, it' right out of the rule book, not my opinion.

It also states that there must be penalties...(plural) by the defense. So, even Ryan's tactic of too many men on the field would not have applied. However, I think there should be some consideration given to the offense being prevented from committing consecutive penalties with the intent to run out the clock. Not very sportsman like, which in turn could have something to do with Zimmers reluctance to take a penalty in that situation. Also, maybe he didn't want to have his defense thinking he doubts them when the game is on the line. What kind of chickenpoop move is that to not trust that your defense can stop a team from going 80yds on 1 play with the game on the line.

The whole argument and criticism is kinda ridiculous IMO.

That was something that surprised me about this game. Washington seemed to blitz constantly on Monday night against the Cowboys and were very successful. Against our rookie QB, I expected to see the same thing but they really didn't seem to blitz very often. Thank God. I was dreading what it would look like against our Oline. Yeah, the fans seemed to be really discontent with Haslet. They played alot of man and press coverage against Dallas then switched to more complicated zones coverages against the Vikes. The consensus seems to be that Washington defenders looked lost several times on sunday. A great example would be the blown coverage on the deep incompletion to CP.

Teddy is also very good against the blitz (maybe even better than Romo), so that probably went into the game-planning.

The similarites were quite evident in that first 1 1/2 quarters. Staring down receivers, overthrowing them, needing 8 yds. on third down and dumping off a short pass that had zero chance of gaining a first. Granted his play was much improved the rest of the game but we all suffered through TJ looking promising one moment and sucking the next. I hope that TB turns out to be great, he has all the tools and attitude to do just that but man it is frustrating to see him play like that (TJ #2). Keep in mid that the passing game averaged only 6n yards a play.

Despite what similarities you think you saw, the fact remains that they are two completely different types of players, not similar in the slightest, except for being black and both fairly mobile. Every "Similarity" you listed, are just the problems that bad/inexperienced QBs face, especially early in their career, again, they are NOTHING alike as players.

As to your gripes about throwing short of the down on 3rd down, I see elite QBs do this very often, when it comes to throwing it short and trying the let your WR make a play, or forcing a pass and getting it picked off, which would you choose?

you know i came on here seeing what people were discussing and i came across a comparison to t-joke and bridgewater. are you kidding me that i actually just read that? you are talking about a rookie in only his 5th start putting together two excellent drives at the end of both games this past week. also, look at his completion percentage yesterday it was really good overall. yes get has gotten off to slow starts, and made some bad throws in the first half. i don't ever remember feeling confident that the vikings could even with a game when jackson started. lets talk about the fact that bridgewater, for the most part, does NOT turn over the ball. in 3 of his wins he had zero interceptions. this kid is a freaking rookie who was thrown to the wolves and who was deemed the "most ready," qb coming out of college. well, he's played better than bortles and carr, and manziel will never be any good. jackson was a pick that NOBODY even wanted and, if i recall people at the time were shocked he even started. cut the kid a freaking break.

it just isn't even rational. the most td passes jackson had in 1 season with the vikings was freaking 9. his stats were horrific.
