Or will the Vikings adapt their scheme?
Exactly what I was thinking. More press and man to man

I don't think this is jumping the gun...
Hopkins is gone. I thought he was the guy most likely to help us out this year.

I realize they are just showing highlights, but he just looked dominant in every play shown. So many other highlights are guys out of position... and then the play comes back to them on a reverse, etc. But Floyd looks to be just incredible from the highlight film.
I was a little concerned with the fall and the commentary that he was a media creation. But the media I saw was really, really good.
I don't know what kind of media creation, but I didn't see Floyd going outside the top 10. I thought the Vikes had the same shot at Floyd as they did at Cooper or Warmack and basically didn't even consider he'd be there. I don't know how he fell, but what a steal at #23.

The problem with Cook is that he's better when he can get his hands on the receiver and the Vikings just don't scheme to take advantage of that. But both are tall, physical guys. If there's a way to tweak the system to play to their strengths more, it could pay dividends. If not, I fear it's going to be a STEEP learning curve and has the potential to be a difficult transition, leading to a liability in coverage that we cannot afford.
I trust the scouting department and Spielmans ability to determine whether his skill set fits what the Vikings want to do. Either way, they had to upgrade the CB position

God, I hope ESPN is wrong. We are trying to trade 2/3/4 to NE to draft Teo? NO!
Maybe some WR prospect. But not Teo!

Still no Running Back selected with 5 picks to go in the first round.
A running back has gone in the first round of every draft since 1967....

Floyd is a future hall of famer!!!
Rhodes is...questions about run defense, not great in zone coverage, and a injury a couple season ago? ooooh. Hopefully our DCoordinator and Head Coach ex-dbacks and dback coaches can coach him up.
