It really looked to me liked the offense went into 'run out the clock mode' with 10 minutes left in the 4th. As a whole they didn't do much at all to help the D in the 2nd half. I found it depressing.

Ya, the run the clock out mode annoyed me.
I was telli ng my buddy before that 3rd and 5 play on like the 40 right before we punted, everyone knows we were gonna hand it off, we should fake it to AP and throw a quick slant to jarius.
This was on our last possession, a first down would been game over.

I am super happy for this team. I honestly had them pegged at 7-9 this season. To go 11-5 and win the division was way beyond my expectations. Regardless of how this team fares, I am happy for this team and the direction it is headed.

I am happy as well but there is a real problem going forward between the dynamics of Teddy and Norv Turner / his offense. If the team keeps nailing it in the draft and improving all over it may not matter but I'm worried the Norv / Teddy combo will bite us in the butt later.

Coaching was always the biggest need to me and thank god that hole that has been there for so long is finally filled.

I'm still not sold on Turner. The only thing that made us look better on offense was AP's running.
I think there are a lot better offensive coaches out there other than Turners air Coryell system. Where we are rated in the passing stats shows that.

Edit: Last night we was 2 - 11 on 3rd down conversions which is pretty pathetic.

Don't get me wrong we really lucked out with Zimmer!!

Of the 20 plays shown, 14 were Packer highlights.

Unbelievable. Are they aware the Vikings won?

Agreed. I would like for Teddy to be able to throw the ball down field more. You can be sure that Seattle will stack the box against AD and make Teddy beat them in the air. I would hope he works on that this off season because while I like the guy, I was hoping for Derek Carr in that draft...

My thoughts exactly.....there are certain teams that the NFL favors (Pack, Pats, Steelers, etc) and we are clearly not one of them.

Pity Lions fans: their team had two games flatly stolen from them this season by horrifically bad officiating in extraordinarily high-leverage circumstances: Week 4 in Seattle (the ignored intentional bat) and Week 13 at home to Green Bay (the phantom facemask).

Had it not been for those two horrendous calls, the Lions would now be 9-7 and in the playoffs (as the #5 seed, in fact, and on their way to Washington for next week). Guess who then wouldn't be in the playoffs at all?

I'd like to propose that no one have to hear droning on about the "Fail Mary" ever again.

I don't see why they don't run more quick slant type passes with rudolph going down the seam. It would eventually open up the tight end running down the middle.

One thing I did like about last night was a couple times on first down THEY ACTUALLY CALLED A PASS AND DIDN'T HAND IT OFF TO AP!!!!

Without getting into my thoughts on the facemask call, I see no logical way one could look at that and say it didn't look like a facemask at least from the ref who threw the flags point of view. Especially after they stole the first matchup from us in GB by refusing to call several blatant PIs.

Nothing as egregious as the fail mary or 09 Wildcard game, for sure.
