That game will have zero playoff implications. While I get he idea, I just don't think it will happen. Yup, let's watch the 15-0 Panthers take on the 7-8 Bucs. Or, watch the Packers Vikings play for the division title.
It would be the second time in NFL history a team went 16-0. I would prefer to watch the Vikes-Packers game, but I imagine most fans would rather watch history than a game that most likely will have a rematch the next week.

Deserved. And big. Xavier Rhodes gets an early Christmas present.
@NFLfootballinfo Odell Beckham Jr. has been suspended for 1 game. Official statement to follow.
@JasonLaCanfora Beckham will appeal suspension. Process will be expedited a final decision should come by midweek

While I completely disagree that many would rather watch a team fight for 16-0 against a less then great football team, it would actually be the third time a team will go 16-0, the Dolphins reached 16-0 after the AFC Championship Game thst year.
Im also not understanding your logic, by that same vein, the Panthers will be playing to go undefeated at least once more this season, except in a game that shoud be actually good. Might as well show the better matchup and NFC North Championship Game.

I'll say!
I agree, the suspension is appropriate.

I hope that he plays. I want the Vikes to beat them and him badly

He will still play. The appeal process is a joke.

I can see it going both ways. The appeal process is definitely a joke but with the focus on player safety (especially head injuries) I could see them upholding the ruling. However, its a marquee Sunday night game with their most electric player out. I could see the NFL business side deciding its good for ratings to let him play.
Personal opinion, it got to a point that was just unbelievable, especially that launch. He should have been ejected for that one given what had gone on for most of the game. He should be sitting for this game.

I wonder if they will punish the officials as well? They have all been so bad lately that they may need to send a message to the offical union or whatever that they need to shape up.

People are really picking on my exact wording today!
A 16-0 REGULAR season, okay?
What is the one thing that people always say about division games? "Throw out the records", right?
If the winner of the #### NFC Least division deserved consideration, a team seeking perfection deserves a thought, too.

I don't think so. During the game he is actually throwing punches to guys helmets. And not just Norman. The helmet to helmet hit was just the worst of it. There is no way that he can defend punching someones helmet after the play.

I think the suspension will be upheld. OBJ was WAY out of control.

IMO I think both players should have been ejected and suspended.
I think Beckham should have been suspended for the rest of the season.
If the reports are true that the Carolina Panthers player threatened him
while holding a bat on the field. He should be suspended the rest of the season
minimum. No bats or weapons should be allowed on the field as a prop at
any time. What is this the WWE of some backyard trailer park fight?

It sounds like Carolina brings the bat to every game as a symbol of going for "home run plays" and "bringing the wood" on defense. They aren't the first team to bring a bat for that reason. I don't buy the fact they were threatening him with it. Did he really think they were going to just bring the bat onto the field and hit him with it?
