I would like to have Browner in Purple for a couple of seasons....especially if they find a promising saftey in the draft.
I appreciate the youth movement and the arc of the teams talent...but having a vet of his quality would be great for the defense.

@Jay_NFL: #Vikings expected to be in the mix for WR Michael Crabtree
Hmm...not opposed as long as the price is good.

Meh. Where would HE fit on the depth chart? Crabtree is not a "#1 WR", especially after tearing his Achilles' tendon. Kinda reminds me Jennings. He'd have to come on the cheap ($3-4 million/year?). I'd actually almost prefer Charles Johnson (speedy, ascending player) over Crabtree right now. And it really makes me wonder if this is an indictment of how the organization feels about Patterson? This feels strange.

Edit: Maybe they'd cut Jennings?

I found it kinda odd that all the terms of these different deals were being announced before the actual beginning of the FA period, but I just dismissed it as me not remembering how it goes.

I just read a report at espn that the league has begun an investigation into the leaking of contract details and promises punishments to violators.

Some agents are squawking too.

What kind of punishments? Fines?
Isn't this the work of agents trying to affect the market for other clients?

Not a fan of Crabtree......

Don't know that much about Clint Boling, sounds like whoever offers him the most up front will get him.

Browner could really help us face the bigger wide outs like Jeffery and Johnson in our division ...

he is 6'2 right ??

Browner wouldn't ever be matched up against Johnson or Jeffrey if we got him. We've got this Rhodes guy that is plenty big enough to match up with them

Serious, how did Rick pull off what he did? It seems ridiculous now to have gotten that much. I'm sure Harvin will be a Patriot or Eagle before long.

Percy Harvin - WR - Free Agent

Percy Harvin will be released Tuesday.

It's merely a formality as Harvin's fate was sealed when the Jets traded for Brandon Marshall. There's no cap hit here and the Jets will only owe the Seahawks a sixth-round pick to complete the transaction. Harvin drips with playmaking talent, but has now been dumped by three teams in two years.

Dang. I was hoping we'd get in on him all sneakily.
@RapSheet the #Chiefs signed SS Tyvon Branch to a one-year deal, source said.

Drat. But good that a potentially core piece of the Green Bay secondary is gone.
#Jaguars set to add another big-time FA: Ascending former #Packers CB Davon House is set join them at $6.25M per year
Top free agent CBs left

Tramon Williams
Antonio Cromartie
Buster Skrine
Chris Culliver
Perrish Cox
Patrick Robinson
Jimmy Wilson
Rashean Mathis

I hope Tramon leaves GB too, though I'm sure GB prioritizes him now. He's pretty solid.
