They can't be hit when they're standing in the pocket as a QB, but they can be hit when in the "read option" stance or when running. Manziel makes a lot of plays with his legs, many that come after the line of scrimmage where he can get hit. This is where his smaller frame might be a factor (like it is for RG3). He's avoided injury so far but he's not the size of a Newton or Bortles.PurpleHalo wrote: I think this is less of an issue in this era, QBs really can't be hit much. All that being said, I think the Vikings would have to trade up at this point. I don't see him on the board at 8.
