Wow. I generally consider Siefert to be an OK reporter -- not Pulitzer worthy, but not horrible. But this is pretty much garbage.

Agreed. I consider Siefert one of the better writers out there when it comes to covering the Vikings (and the division) but he's really swimming in the shallow end of the pool with this stuff.

huh, and now Jennings is back tracking on an epic level after his coach basically tells him to shut his diva mouth.

Remember Moss was talking about helping his teammates while throwing weights and coaches and verbally assaulting servers.

Jennings definitely has a chip on his shoulder and feels wronged. Otherwise you just suck it up and move on. Hard feelings obviously. Get over it Greg Jennifer.

Who should give a dam as to how or why he got here. The fact is that he is here and he brings a whole lot to the team with his veteran skills, precise route running, excellent hands and helping to mentor the younger players.
He has, by his own account, said that he "loves" Ponder and sees great potential in him. He raved about his atheletic ability and says that Ponder will be the next very good QB that he has gotten to play with.
Finally the Vikes do not have to face him anymore and I must say that he has torched them time and time again.

On the Seifert complaints, I generally agree. I think he was better with the Star Tribune. Personally, I think ESPN promotes confrontation over journalism 24-7. On Jennings, I question only the wisdom of his comment on Rodgers and the timing. I think it served no positive purpose for the Vikings. I don't think it in any way makes him a diva. On Jennings acquisition, I'm all for it at the price they paid. Gotta take chance to improve and he was best option available.

There was more to it then that. Including when asked the difference between the Packers and Vikings training camps. And talking about McCarthy keeping a fresh team, quality work over quantity ("not to say Frazier's not"), you have to give and take. If you're playing and no one is ever listening to what you're saying, you feel like you have no say, so it's like forget it. Huh? Every day in full pads...a little different.

I was worried about injuries, age, and contract. Not I'm wondering about the guys mindset...honest so that's refreshing. But how many headlines has he made just this offseason, was he like this in Green Bay? Not only that but clearly still bitter about how it went down in Green bay.

Luckily he's an elite receivers coach who can also coach the secondary. Everyone on the outside is going to be better for his presence.

If you actually listen to the interview in which he made those comments about "brainwashing", you'll hear that isn't even close to being true. He's articulate, honest and obviously intelligent. He's certainly no idiot.

Thanks for the link. I see no reason to be concerned about his mindset. In fact, his willingness to be frank probably speaks to a good mindset. He's clearly happy and comfortable with his new team. IF he actually has a little bitterness toward his old team, why is that a problem? They're the Vikes biggest rivals! A little animosity toward them isn't necessarily bad for business.
