Just the kind of drive Ponder needed to get his confidence going; very similar to the 49ers game

Nice drive, especially since AD ran for mostly negative yards, but that's 10 guys in the box for ya. Big throw and catch to Simpson over the middle that really kept it all going. No dumb decisions from Ponder, very nice avoidance on that TD scamper.

WOW!!!! WHAT A PLAY BY PONDER!!! Great strength and athleticism. Awesome.

Actually, that drive was all Ponder.

Great start.

I'd like to see Felton lead blocking on most of the running plays today. They may need that extra punch.

The interior of that o-line needs to step up and Musgrave needs to show a little more imagination on first and second down in the redzone. The rams are going to sell out to stop Peterson down there. Take advantage of it.
Exactly. If they want Peterson involved in this one, they need to be a bit more creative in their playcalling. They've been outnumbered and overmatched up front thus far.

No, he got hit in the head by the rushing lineman while he was still in the pocket... he squirmed out of there and then ran to the end zone.

At least save that stuff for a point in the game where Ponder deserves criticism. He just led them on a TD drive to open the game, converting a 4th down play and scoring a TD.

I agree, I think Rhett Ellison got blown up on one of those running plays as he got motioned into the backfield

Need to run Peterson to the outside or hit him with a few screens.

Steven Jackson is one hell of a good running back.

Would actually REALLY like to see a reverse to Wright, the Rams are over pursuing hard to which ever way the play is developing. Think that'd be a big play waiting to happen.
