I think the WRs are getting more separation as well, especially Diggs and Ruldolph. They both have had some good games lately, and really, having McKinnon as a pass catcher is really helping Teddy as well.
They need to run more of those screens to the RB, they are working well. Heck, do one to Patterson... GET PATTERSON ON THE FIELD>

Now for something that will completely blow you away. From weeks 12-15, Teddy has better numbers than Aaron Rodgers. Granted, thats mostly because of the Bears game.

Fun with stats.

Code: Select all

Cmp Att % Yards YPA TD's TD % INT INT %
Rodgers 90 153 58.8 897 5.5 6 3.9 3 2.0
Bwater 79 112 70.5 857 7.7 5 4.5 2 1.8

I do feel the need to post to make sure we all know that the last two weeks just reinforces the title of this thread. Teddy needs to play much worse, because having fabulous games like the last two, in the midst of any other realistic performances over the course of the season, can be truly labeled "inconsistent". You know, in the way that Cam Newton was pretty inconsistent yesterday, because you know he won't play that way every game.

You should take that up with Chris Tomasson and the headline writers at the Pioneer Press. ;)

Just wanting to be completely realistic here, but as a Teddy fan, I have to caution all my co-fans that two very good games don't prove anything. I remember when Troy Williamson had his career game, and people came out of the woodwork to pronounce that he was now a solid WR. We just don't know yet. Loving the "new" offense, but still feeling that we need to see how things go over the next three weeks.

I changed the name of the thread since it's evolved beyond a discussion of the article from which it drew it's original title to become sort of a "catch all" thread for discussion of Bridgewater, links to articles about him, etc.

I agree but the performance here gives me more confidence mostly because there wasn't really any aberrations to account for the performance. The Bears Secondary wasn't depleted, there wasn't an absurd match up to take advantage of, it was just a bunch of little things that hadn't worked out so far this season finally working out, No Endzone drops, no fumbles at the end of catches, no strip sacks (against us), no absolute failures on pass blocking in the redzone; Just Teddy with slightly more touch on a couple of throws and the luck not breaking against our team in the passing game. I don't think this was so much an "arrival party" as the game that finally puts to rest the idea that Teddy is a Bust. Busts don't have 5 TD games against a team desperate to make the post season nearly two years into their career. By no means does this mean he is the next AR, PM, TB, or JM. It just means that the kid can play at an extremely high level.
