McKinney, Cann, Hobart, Fisher, Collins, Kendricks would be my personal choices. If none of them are there, trade down. Or trade for Mychal Kendricks.

@DWolfsonKSTP Spielman was contacted late last night about FA LB Brandon Spikes. But he passed again. Figure LB today, probably in the 2nd. #vikings

Wouldn't mind him either. The only one I don't want is McKinney. I got squeamish when the first thing I read was about his lack of instincts
Based on what's left. In order I like
1. Kendricks
2. Perryman
3. Dawson

Also, wouldn't mind Jim's guy A.J Cann, if they determine he's the best player available - I also like the idea of trading back just a bit to pick up extra picks. Also like Nate Orchard - a lot.
For the rest of the weekend, I have my fingers crossed for Tevin Coleman, Dawson, Cann, Cedric Thompson, Devin Smith, Orchard, Damien Wilson, the G from Georgia Tech (name escapes me), the list goes on of course ... If they draft one or two of those guys (many of them will go early tonight obviously) I will be a happy camper!

It wouldn't surprise me if linebacker was the selection, and McKinney in particular thanks to his measurables. Seems the depth at linebacker past the second round is worse than the potential depth at guard. Both McKinney and Dawson had visits with the team, too. I don't think that was the case with Kendricks (or Perryman), though I have no idea why. Miller & Marpet are possibilities in round 3 and Mitch Morse, Josue Matias or Shaq Mason in the later rounds as guys with some upside.

Ah yes, Shaq Mason was the guard I was referencing - couldn't recall the name

@adbrandt Re La'el Collins, agents are putting him on the phone with as many teams as possible to try to clear his name, explain situation.
He's trying hard. I'm
very tempted...

I'm alright with Cann although if Gregory or DGB is there, I think it's worth the risk. Especially DGB. I've also seen mocks where Kendricks is available (I think we'll need to see a run on QB for this to happen) and if he's there, he's my choice.

Randy Gregory - DL - Player
ESPN New York reprots Nebraska DE/OLB Randy Gregory has "serious character concerns that go beyond multiple failed drug tests."
"Gregory is a good kid, but he has a lot of things going on – medical, psychological and emotional issues that need to be looked at," an anonymous NFC scout told reporter Rich Cimini. The report comes two days after multiple NFL personnel men told NFL.com they were concerned about Gregory's ability to "handle the mental rigors of professional football." Gregory should come off the board in Round 2, but it's becoming clearer why he didn't go on Day 1.

I just want us to look to draft a starter. So really, that means drafting an OL, LB or S. Personally, I'd love to see us do something like deal our 3rd Rd pick and a 5th Rd pick for another 2nd in order to grab an OL and LB in that round.
I don't think DE is an area of need right now. Griffen and Robison are more than capable, and I'm hoping to see some growth out of last year's 2nd Rd pick Scott Crichton. DE will definitely be a need next year, however. I just think Robison can get us by for one more season. If we're keeping Peterson then we need to give him bulldozers to free up some running lanes. I'd go OL first, and then trade for a mid-late 2nd rd pick and take one of the inside LBs.
With Mike Wallace, Charles Johnson, Patterson and Wright...I don't see much use in drafting a WR over our other areas of need.

Kendricks, Gregory, Dawson. Lot of good players left up there.

I like having a knowledgable, civil Packer fan around.
Cheers, Jordy's Ghost!

Preference of R2 pick (in order)
1. La'el Collins -- Screw it. I'm convinced he'll be exonerated. LG fixed with outstanding value and potential pro-bowler
2. Eric Kendricks
3. A.J. Cann
4. Eric Rowe
5. Preston Smith
6. Owamagbe Odighizuwa
7. Jake Fisher
8. Landon Collins
9. Nate Orchard
10. Denzel Perryman
11. Carl Davis
12. Benardrick McKinney
Dorial Green-Beckham, for me, is an inexperienced project. We already have one of those and ours doesn't come with character concerns.
Gregory's off-field stuff scares me away.
