I'm pretty sure a TD is points.
My view isn't hindsight. I told a friend they should go for it before they even brought the FG unit on the field and I posted it here earlier today. In that situation, at this point in the season, I would have preferred a more aggressive call.
That's one way to look at it.
It shouldn't have been an issue, in any case.
I agree with me4get that getting the three there was the correct call.
YMMV.

As far as I could tell, it looked like a TD but the shots of it I saw on RedZone had a stats "crawl" running across the bottom of the screen that prevented me from clearly seeing where his feet touched the ground, which was a pretty crucial part of the play. I'm hoping to get a better, l unobstructed view of it later. As I said, as far as I could tell, it looked like a TD.
What did you think?
If someone finds a link to that play I would like to see it. I missed the first half of the game. Of course it will never be shown at NFL.com

The refs made some very terrible calls today but it doesn't excuse the inability of the defense to stop the Dolphins at all in the second half. Mid range passes were open the entire time. I'm not sure how many times there were wide open receivers for 15 or so yard gains and they just marched down the field way too easily.

The Vikings are like strippers. They continually tease you with some goodies, dangling everything right in front of you, making the fan "believe" he has a real chance. However, in the end the strippers just leave you blue...

Another lame moral victory
The defense didn't have their main signal caller in the second half, Green way was injured. The defense was confused of the play calling by Brinkley.

I think it was Hodges, but yes, good point.

Brinkley and Hodges are the backup D signal callers.

Lotta backups in the game at linebacker. Miami's tight ends ran pretty free in the second half.

I don't think there was a correct call, just options, and all I'm saying is I would have preferred more aggression, especially since, if I'm not mistaken, the ball was inside the 1 yard line. Carpe diem!

Pretty sure Hodges had the communicator in his helmet. Brinkley isn't on the field in the nickel so it wouldn't make much sense to have him be taking calls from Zim.
I agree with the premise of what you're saying, I was just pointing out it was Hodges, not Brinkley, unless I misheard the announcers on the TV broadcast.

My dad was a Bears fan until he moved to IA, he switched to the Vikings in 65. All 5 of us kids are Vikes fans, and our 9 kids are Vikings fans.
