Well, as Riddick just said on ESPN, one of the big problems with the passing game last year was that Teddy wouldn't pull the trigger. Treadwell doesn't solve that so if this pick is going to pay off in 2016, Teddy needs to be willing to make those throws. Treadwell's not going to separate with speed so throwing into tight windows will matter.

Hopefully, Treadwell will pay big dividends. I love that he was holding that Vikes jersey up in front of his daughter. :)

Love the pick! Let's go Megaquan! Now maybe we trade back in to snag Jack?

NFL Network guys say that the Vikes think Treadwell will be able to speed up a bit with continued rehab on the ankle that was broken. Fingers are crossed!

FWIW a draft guy I really respect (Matt Waldman) loves Treadwell.

He's also one of the youngest players in the draft. Hasan did a good writeup of what that means (its an advantage).

ESPN is making the Insider stuff available, this is their little capsule writeup -

Treadwell is a highly competitive and physical receiver who thrives in contested situations. He isn't a burner, but he is a quality route runner who has the size, strength and length to create late separation. Treadwell is a strong and balanced runner after the catch and takes a lot of pride as a run-blocker. Though he might never be an elite No. 1 receiver, he's arguably the top at this position who will instantly upgrade a receiving corps. -- Kevin Weidl

I like Smith, but you don't know if he plays at all. Would us a 3rd on him though and pray the nerves regenerate...

Treadwell is an amazing player, why are some people salty about that? Myles Jack is only gonna last about 5-7 NFL seasons, tops. Defensive players with microfracture surgeries more than likely fail and never meet to their full potential.

This is a home run pick for the Vikes.

Zimmer: “[Treadwell is] a great competitor…probably the best blocking receiver that I’ve seen.” #Vikings

Hell, trade up and select Lynch.

I know, DP, that's three (hangs head).

@TomPelissero Talked to a WRs coach on his way back from the workouts. On Ole Miss' Laquon Treadwell: "He's a lot like Dez Bryant."

Treadwell's slow 40 time is misleading. Dude had a terrible injury so he might not even be back to 100% yet. Plus, he's got the best acceleration of the top WRs in the draft.

If it makes you feel good PFF is NOT high on Treadwell.
