Another weak 4th quarter defense
Another lame moral victory

The refs sucked today and really hurt the team. Had that late Ford TD not been taken away, the Dolphins don't win on the block.indianation65 wrote:As to a previous question asked, "Why does the NFL continually cheat the Vikes?" or something like that. Hmm, the owners have no clout or no aggressive tongue.

Here we go again.TSonn wrote:Pretty clear to me that they know Teddy is the future and have no playoff chances this year so losing this year is way more beneficial to next year than winning these meaningless games.
I've got mine! Plus, I'm holed up in a bunker where the NFL's biased officials, broadcasters and front office personnel will never find me and all my Vikes gear.frosted wrote:Tinfoil hats for everyone!
Naw, had they punted then Tannahill would have gotten them at least a field goal, no doubt.VikingLord wrote: The refs sucked today and really hurt the team. Had that late Ford TD not been taken away, the Dolphins don't win on the block.
But in the end, it was the poor execution on the punt that cost them. Basic special teams play and needs to be executed as such in that situation and they can't do it. It's not the NFL, not the refs, not the owners. It comes down to the players and their failure to do their most basic jobs in a situation that ultimately cost them the game.
I haven't been a Viking fan butits seems squandering opprunties has happened since the Franchise existedMothman wrote:... and.... choke.
Well, Demi will be happy. The Vikes are one loss closer to a higher draft pick.
The defense came up short late in the 4th quarter... again. The offense could do absolutely nothing with the game on the line at the end. Loeffler blew the snap and the Vikes remain winless against teams .500 or better and drop to 6-9.
They fought hard and made some great plays today but they squandered another opportunity. That's basically been the story for two years now. I don't think we'll be hearing anything close to a "moral victory" speech from Zimmer after this one. I'm guessing he'll be ticked... or just depressed.
It was an entertaining game!
Oh come on, unleash some invective.indianation65 wrote:I don't post often, due to the frustration of mediocrity of the team, but don't get me going on the "moral victories" theme. I avoided that thread purposely.

But if you think there's a conspiracy directed against the Vikings or any team for that matter, IDK what to tell you.
