Re: 2014 Current and Potential Coaches
I get this gut feeling that Zimmer won't leave Tennessee without a contract from the titans, I would really like to snag Zimmer but I think the FO is going to take their sweet time and we will be left with whatever is left.

Sid uses his column like a sledgehammer instead of a scalpel. He likes Bevell, and that's that.

Good analogy. He seems drunk half the time to me. I love watching videos of him with other, younger, reporters from the Strib. The tension couldn't be thicker.BGM wrote:

Re: 2014 Current and Potential Coaches
If they hire Bevel I'm finished with this team, the reason I wanted Frazier gone was to clean out the last of any Childress funk. I want something new and different, not the same ol same ol. Maybe Bevel would be smarter than that, but it isn't worth a chance. He might keep the staff and the same systems.
They have already rubbed my hide wrong with taking our tax dollars, and going after more in PSLs, effectively pricing me out of my seats. Don't dare add to it, I am at my wits end.

Chip Scoggins on TwitterI've heard the same thing that @RapSheet reports that Cardinals DC Todd Bowles likely will be a finalist for Vikings. Had strong interview

Just for comparison here's Josh MDaniels' rantpurpletinted66 wrote:ooh deep thoughts there, like piles of cuttings from the king's lawn: I wouldn't choose that.

There's interesting comparison to be made between Zimmer's rant and McDaniel. Zimmer has his guys respect. He's making specific points and emphasizing them in a way that will get their attention. McDaniel has lost his guys and there's a desperation to it.
For a REALLY good rant there's always Jerry Burns.

Would be a great thing if Zimmer got this gig. I was looking up youtube stuff of him and found out his wife died a couple of years ago

Hartman is 90+ years old and ZERO idea what he's talking about. The Sports Show on Sunday nights is just sad.

Todd Bowles, Mike Zimmer and an 'unknown candidate' are the three finalists for the Viking HC job per this link
