Sorry Lashman have to disagree with you. When our Offense only has 3 1st downs, it puts too much pressure on the defense. Ponder is way worse than our defense IMO.Lash Man wrote:Ponder may suck but our defense sucks WORSE !

Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 12
Time to show off our two minute defense.
It's a good loss if it helps determine Ponder is not the qb after this year. He has had chances and showed some ok things. Nothing that gives confidence in the future. It's a tough setback for a team that has AP and I told Percy playing so well. I can't think of a backup qb that will give us enough wins now. Weak qb draft in April. Dismal days.
I hope cutter takes a clean bone crushing shot today.

Looks like they are being merciful and only getting a field goal here. Ugh. Didn't we have an extra week to prepare for this? Embarassing.
Edit: Well, at least we blocked it!

Is that true? He's going to give Ponder that long?CalVike wrote: Ponder has until Week 8ish of 2014 by Spielman's QB evaluation rules. Go Vikes!
Spielman may not have that long. If If were the Wilfs, I'd say Vikes need to beat the Packers and Bears and least once *this* season or they're both gone.

Nice block... something semi-positive to go into the locker room with. Holy smokes, what an ugly half of football.

Let's suck for Geno Smith. Ponder is not the answer.
Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 12
At least this game is over and I don't need to watch the second-half to know the outcome. Time to go do something else for the rest of the afternoon.

End of 2nd quarter
Vikes 3
Bears 25
On pace for a 50-6 game. Put Webb in and see what he does.

Same as last year. Big time blowout versus the Bears. No evidence of growth. Offense = FAIL. Defense = FAIL. Coaching = FAIL.Infinity wrote:This is to unbelievable. I knew we were going to lose, but I didn't think it was going to be a major blowout.![]()

Fraziers idea of a half time adjustment involves his sack....not his game planPurpleKoolaid wrote:Williams has no idea how to handle the Bears. Lets see if he and Fraizer can make some halftime adjustments LOL
Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 12
Ponder looks bad but so does the rest of the team. Poor tackling by the defense, receivers dropping passes, AD fumbling, Kluwe shanking punts. It's an all-around lack of execution and coaching, which is even more disappointing considering this is coming off a bye.

Webb would create problems for the Bears because of his running, but the Bears have seen him already so I doubt he'd have that big of an impact.denburch wrote: Couldn't hurt!

Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 12
Its amazing how much better some rookie QBs are then Ponder is. Ponderhas to make the throw to the first target in .8 seconds or its a busted play. I wonder if he knows how much he sucks or if he thinks hes a good NFL QB.
