I didn't explain my thoughts very well. I know we will never get a 2nd for those picks. You could have every 7th rounder and not get a 2nd. I was trying to point out those picks we got have extremely low value or are basically worthless. That's all.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 4:48 pmWell what you prefer is not realistic. We had 3 seventh round picks. Have you ever heard of anyone trading all their late picks for a second rounder? No. And you never will. It couldn’t be more unrealistic so I don’t know why we’re discussing itCharVike wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 3:36 pm
Give me 3 top 10 picks and keep the rest. How is that for common sense. There's no explaining loading up on 6th and 7th rounders. Basically what you're saying is give me 32 7th round picks and I'll give you my first 6 picks and be better off. More players. You will never find a dominate QB, RB, WR, Pas Rusher ect like that. You won't get a dominate anything. Yes having every pick in round 7 increases your chances but all 32 of those picks will be for garbage players. Even the few that stick will never amount to much. What we did was a head scratchier for me. I' prefer to trade all those garbage picks for a 2nd rounder. You won't find a trade partner.

Here is a nice write up on this guy.
Samia was a four year starter — mostly at guard — but he does have some experience at tackle. He has great size and strength to go along with good overall athleticism. What I like about Samia: With his size and athleticism, he can play in any scheme and be effective. Though he won’t go in the first round, he should be a solid second-round pick who steps in and plays right away as a rookie.
Maybe Speilman hit it out of the park with this guy. Would be nice if he can step in and start. Looks like we might have hit a few this year.

I believe it would have been a mistake of large proportion to play Bradbury at guard instead of center. If OTAs can be trusted that nonsense can be put to bed.fiestavike wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 6:04 pmYes! Whatever they do, I hope they figure it out early in camp. I think Bradbury and Samia project really well to guard, but I'll be happy with however they line them up if we can finally run the ball with some consistency.

That's probably the most positive review on him. Most of what I saw had him going in the third or fourth. I think we got an excellent value. He was the last OL I wanted on the board. If we hadn't gotten him I would have been whining about the pick we used on Mattison saying we should have drafted Samia instead.CharVike wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 6:33 pm Here is a nice write up on this guy.

He could develop. Being a 4 year starter is a great accomplishment especially at that program. The guy can play no doubt. I like that Mattison pick also. He won't be an all world back but he can take the pounding and give it back. Plus he can catch. Excellent change of pace and backup. I think Spielman did good. We need the bodies.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 6:43 pmThat's probably the most positive review on him. Most of what I saw had him going in the third or fourth. Not the end of the world but he's struggling in camp so far. I always prefer the bigger man over the smaller man because size always wins but he needs to get bigger and work on his movement. If he can't improve those two areas he will never make it. But he'll have a year to work on his physical limitations.CharVike wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 7:15 pmHe could develop. Samia is now number 2 on the depth chart. That's a good sign. Maybe he will crack the starting lineup by mid season.CharVike wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 7:15 pmHe could develop. He is playing #2 RG because Isidora is the #2 LG and Dozier is the #2 LT because Hill is the #1 RT at the moment. He still might be #3.CharVike wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 9:42 amSamia is now number 2 on the depth chart. That's a good sign. Where is the negativity in that comment? It is better for depth if we have backups not beaten out by a 4th round rookie.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 9:43 amI'm not listening to any of your negativity.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 10:12 am

And just as an FYI, I have always said most of this TEAM was good enough to make the playoffs last year.

I get that subtle jokes that might be understood spoken might not come over without vocal inflection in print. That's why I put the emoji in. I wasn't serious about the negativity. I was just being joe optimistic homer about our draft pick in that post. Quoting The Big Toe "Lighten up Francis." .StumpHunter wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2019 3:48 pmWhere is the negativity in that comment?
