In his best interest, he needs to go to a team where he has a chance of playing time. Doesn't matter if the Jets are going to get a QB in the draft. Most likely, that player won't be ready to start. Jets may be a good scenario for TB now since all he has to do is beat out McCown in TC. Maybe it's not a good long term fit, but I think he's just looking for a chance to show he still can play.

I hope he gets the chance.

Vikings Doctors saw problem with Teddy's knee

I hope the kid can do well for the jets, and that his knee fully recovers.

The rest of that article is really interesting, as well. Zimmer is such a straight shooter.

A friend of mine always refers to such cases as ‘Shrodingers recovery’.

I don't trust Zimmer with the injury report. He really obscured what was going on with Bradford, and now we find out that Teddy's knee is still not 100%. Wasn't it a little risky to put Teddy out there if the team doctor said he knee was not 100%?

Zimmer wouldn't have put him out there if he wasn't cleared. Similar to if the Packers were going to make the playoffs. Would Rodger's collarbone been 100% fully healed? No, but he probably would've gotten cleared to play if he wanted to. Everything I read about Teddy's recovery suggested he followed the protocol and passed the stages he needed to pass. Probably not 100% but sufficiently recovered to play.

I think that Teddy just couldn't be on the team if they wanted to have the clear cut starter with Cousins with no drama. Any time Cousins had a rough game or two suddenly 10 reports about whether or not Teddy should start comes out. What happens should the crowd start chanting "Teddy"? Forget whether or not you think it's rational the fan base loved him.

I think they wanted clear cut starters and clear cut backups and no controversy should things get rocky.

That's my completely uninformed random guess at the matter.

Cliff I agree with what your saying. They needed to make Cousins the guy with no distractions.

But also there is a lot of things with Teddy's situation that just doesn't make sense. Why now are they coming out with concerns about Teddy's knee.

Because he's no longer on the team and not under obligation to say everything is awesome. They had those concerns internally. Maybe they also had a post-season scan.
