Not because of limited throws i pregame warm up but due to limp walking off field. #SamBradford will be out today.

UPDATED: Sam Bradford out, which was clear from pregame walk

As expected, the Vikings will go with Case Keenum at quarterback instead of Sam Bradford, who was limited all week with knee swelling and soreness.

Initial post at 8:05 a.m. PT:

By video, it certainly appears Sam Braford won’t play Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He walked with a noticeable limp, favoring and unable to fully extend his left knee. Thus, with his landing foot affected, his accuracy and mobility would have been greatly diminished.

The Vikings will likely hold out Bradford this week in the hopes that his knee is healthy enough for him to play in the coming weeks.

What we know is that there was no trauma suffered in this past Monday’s season opener and that Bradford’s twice-repaired ACL is intact.

There is worry for cartilage damage going forward. That is what causes swelling and pain and would sideline Bradford for a time if there is damage.

This is a horrible development, one that I fear will result in major limitations for Bradford this season. I hope I'm wrong.

Of course, this is basically the only way we could have this season blow up for us. Bradford looks amazing in his appearances but misses multiple games due to his sore knee leaving us with Teddy or a Great but frequently Absent Bradford.

Mike Zimmer just said at the press conference...

"Sam may play one game from now. Sam may play six weeks from now. He's fine."

What a deceptive, depressing answer. If Bradford is shelved for the next six weeks, we are a very bad team, missing the playoffs and going like 5-11. Its huge between missing 1 or 2 games and SEVEN.

I am pissed.

It makes me mad that Zimmer is so hush hush about injuries. If your team is good enough, they don't have to be sneaky about their starting players.

Sometimes Zimmers answers tick me off too. Its like he doesnt think us fans have a right to know anything.

Keenum. Teddy can play week 7 as well

Keenum until they are realistically eliminated from the playoffs. If Teddy can play start him. Then I'd like to see what Sloter has before trading up for a QB in the draft.

Zimmer said multiple times that it's non-surgical. Guys are talking like he's out for the year. If it's non-surgical I can't imagine he'll be out that long
