Refs missed an obvious hands to the face penalty.

Running game is pretty bad tonight. 36 yards between the two backs.
Harris 6 - 12
Williams 9 - 24
8 mins left in 4th quarter.

Damm was that 2 point conversion messed up. Titans 2 points

Diggs is definitely Steve Smith (Sr.) like.

That got pretty exciting for a 5th preseason game. I still like Heinicke a lot. He will not make it to the practice squad. It will be interesting to see what the Vikes do with him!

Body slam a QB and no call.

Trade old man Hill and keep him would be my choice.

His QB rating tonight 101.57 not to bad.
Diggs had a good game.
Whalen did good tonight too.

Wondering if Mauti played his last game as a Viking tonight?

Lousy way to end the preseason. I hope it doesn't carry over.

It's strange how hard I took this loss.

It's just preseason.

One of my biggest takeaways was how God awful David Yankey was. If Rick doesn't sign a cut offensive lineman I'd be shocked. I fear Yankey is not long for this league. At least not at tackle.

I'm starting to retract my previous thinking about Heinicke. Just because it's unusual UDFA rookie QB to be claimed on waivers doesn't mean it never happens. He helped himself tonight and I've been encouraged by his progress since the start of training camp. Ideally Rick can sneak him onto the practice squad to "season" for a year or two while experienced veteran Hill backs up Teddy but that may not happen. I do hate the idea of "burning" a roster spot on a #3 quarterback when there are already going to be some hard cuts but it may have to happen. Plus, we've seen that #3 QBs do get into regular season games.

I thought some defensive linemen and linebackers stepped up in this one, too. I was impressed by Chigbo Anunoby in particular. He physically overpowered some guys last night. Hunter and Crichton also had some good moments. Hodges and Cole were largely invisible by my eyes. Seems Cole has done more to lose the starting MLB job than claim it. Wouldn't surprise me of Hodges suits up in base next Monday night.

I share your concern. I'm also worried about the lack of quality depth for the entire OL.

Apparently, Andrew Krammer from ESPN feels the same way...
On that note, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikings search the waiver wire for offensive line depth as cuts are finalized by Saturday's 3 p.m. CT deadline. Sixth-round pick Tyrus Thompson, who was already on the bubble, could just be a practice squad candidate as he left the game early with what was described as a 'head injury.' Second-year OL David Yankey and seventh-round pick Austin Shepherd worked as the second-team tackles, but season-ending injuries to Phil Loadholt and Carter Bykowski could prove too much to roll with what the Vikings currently have.

Stock Market Report: Vikings at Titans

Trae Waynes. The rookie cornerback had a quiet night, finishing with one tackle on 36 snaps, which is a good thing. Some of it was not getting thrown at for most of the night. But again, this is a good thing when you consider how he was picked on in the first two weeks of the preseason. Waynes has improved with each game. He probably won't make a big impact on the defense right away in his rookie year. However, I believe he will make an impact on special teams right away. Waynes has looked solid on coverage teams throughout the preseason.

I felt ok about the offensive line depth before the preseason. Now that is is over, I am down-right worried for the team. I am disappointed in David Yankey. He was so good at Stanford. He hasn't cut at the NFL yet.
