He was signed by the Bucs shortly after being released.

Kickers go through slumps , but I wouldn't mind pressure through bringing someone in...
Its probably too late to do this this off season

It's not too late if they can find a kicker they they'd like to bring in to compete. Teams sometimes do that during the season so they still have time if they want to look at another option. I don't think it's a bad idea.

I have no idea but I've seen veteran kickers get replaced when they hit a slump during the season and the team didn't want to keep dealing with it. Walsh's contract guarantees him $3,750,000. I'm sure the Vikes would rather keep him and see him earn that money but if they think he's going to cost them games, it's not too much to "eat" if they feel they've found a better option. However, they don't even seem inclined to look for another option right now so that's getting ahead of things. The point is, it's not too late to bring in competition if they want to go down that road.

Was another premature extension, IMO. Especially after his 2014-15 year. When will they learn.

Honestly, there is nobody else out there I would want and if you release him just because of a PRESEASON slump now you're forced to either draft or sign one the following year and play musical chairs. Nobody out there has the leg he does, I can almost guarantee that. Supposed the accuracy was just a technique thing that they have been working on.
All in all, if Walsh somehow costs us a game, I don't see anyone out there that would've somehow won us that game. The kicker free agent pool is very weak

Man, the Cowboy game didnt help my faith in Walsh, though he DID punt well........
One more worry besides our secondary and OL.
Oh well, AP will fix everything......

Yet the previous 2 years he was very good. Mason Crosby hit an awful slump in the middle of his career (worse that the slump Walsh is in) and I think the Packers are pretty happy they kept him.

just ram it in! Why not ?
