My behavior has been consistent from one young QB to the next: I try to maintain patience and perspective, see their good plays as good and their bad plays as bad. If you don't like that, tough. I've said it before and I mean it: I'm not going to be painted into the corner you keep attempting to paint me into when it comes to Bridgewater. Whatever your issue is, please work past it.

what he did this year with our high school caliber offense was amazing. i'm not sure how, or why there is any doubt as to his future, it will be bright. he did what he did with no line, an average run game, and basically no stability at the receiver position. his poise is better than any rookie qb i've seen in a very long time.

It is tough... and I'm certainly not even-keeled about the Vikes all the time, nor do I expect anyone else to be. I just resent the notion that I'm somehow on a "one man crusade to keep people from feeling good about teddy". That's ridiculous... and all because PKR didn't like my choice of the word "fine" to describe Bridgewater's season.

Heck, I'm still a little annoyed by his comments so I'll just point out that the word fine, when used as an adjective (as I used it), typically means "very good" or "of high quality". My apologies for assessing Bridgewater so harshly!

I'm glad you clarified that because I Thought you were physically attracted to him. It makes more sense now

I love this quote by Bridgewater for a number of reasons. It's good that he and Patterson are communicating, and that Teddy believes CP will return to previous form.

It's even better that Teddy realizes he and Patterson need improvement. Hard work with the right attitude is always needed for success.

... and I love that he wants to get together and work with his receivers during the offseason. The kid seems to have the right attitude to succeed.

No! Let's pile on Jim.

I was one of the fans that voted for him on the NFL website. It was a total homer vote - but I do think that by virtue of his position he is and will eventually become obviously more valuable than Beckham. So yes, I agree that Teddy was the 'Rookie of the Year', and not the Rookie of the Year.

I will be honest, I was not thrilled with the Teddy pick ...

after his pro day... I was like ohh crap.. the guy can't handle pressure and is not accurate

I think he has more than proved his worth.. glad I wrong... now lets fix our OL

and hope Patterson, gets it together...

I always knew he could handle the pressure. His completion percentage vs. the blitz at Louisville was ridiculously high. I was down to him and Carr. I wanted nothing to do with Manziel. I've never based much off of pro days personally. Everyone and their mother was saying Teddy was the most NFL ready QB. He easily gave us the biggest bang for our buck that late in the draft. It was a no-brainer IMO

Thanks for the link, Jim.

Well, two awards later means that others besides just Vikings fans noticed Bridgewater's improvement throughout the season.

If the Vikings want Teddy to keep improving, I think one really helpful way is to keep building up the offense around him.

Agreed. Improve pass protection, upgrade the running game, upgrade his targets if possible...

Defenses will have a year of film on him now and plenty of time to study it so that could make things a little tougher for him in season 2. He'll need to compensate for that with personal improvement and the Vikes need to help him by giving him a better support system on offense.

Yes, the film will be produced and studied in the NFL when it comes to Teddy's play. However, Teddy also will have opposing defense film at his finger tips as well. I wouldn't be shocked to learn that Teddy has already been studying that film this offseason. :)

Anyway, at least to me, it appears that this team knows they need to build around Teddy. As much of a fan as I am of the receivers on the team, I still wouldn't be hurt or upset if we won't out and upgraded the position. The offensive line must get better. It might not hurt to find another tight end as well.

All in all, I believe this team has a plan. We might be in for a few surprises this offseason.

This is a really random thought, but I wonder if consistently getting first place in a division helps film study. Think about it - if you're facing a team that has a winning record, you're likely facing most of the same players and coaching staff as the year before. The bottom level teams are more likely to have more turnover and can be a bit more unpredictable.

Hmm this is the second time in 2 days I have had posts removed/deleted. I don't think mods are doing, I'm back to using IE and I am wondering if that's the problems. If mods are doing it, please explain why. Thanks.
