Maybe... or maybe it's just someone he knows and is important to him. Whatever the circumstances, it's a tragic situation and a horrible crime.

Just talked to Nelson Peterson, Adrian's father. It is one of Adrian's sons but not Adrian Jr. "We are asking for prayers and for respect for our family as deal with this tragic situation." More to come shortly.

Those are my thoughts. Hopefully it gets figured out soon. Not for us, but for the friends and family of the victim(s). This has gotten way out of hand. Hopefully the little boy is okay and the guy is...not.

Where is the horrible reporting? (Its everywhere, I know, but...) I havent seen any new reports say it is his son, just rampant speculation based on news reports that don't say it is his son and by people on internet forums connecting dots with speculation.

yes. Doesn't anyone know the difference between news reporting and some dude who tweets or writes something on a blog or a web page?

In today's media, those lines are blurred.

The Minnesota City Pages, quoting a family source, says the child isn't expected to survive his injuries and may be taken off life support as early as Friday evening.

"Unless God provides some sort of miracle, he's gone," the source told the City Pages.

TMZ reports that Peterson's son, who suffered severe head injuries, hasn't had any brain activity since Thursday.

Very sad, no child (and no family) deserves this.

10:16 AM PT -- Multiple sources tell TMZ ... Peterson's son is currently on life support and hasn't had brain activity since 5:30 PM last night.

We're told the family is monitoring the situation closely, and if there is no improvement in 24 hours, the mother wants to remove life support and donate the boy's organs to people in need.
