They are a good defense that isn't consistent, which in my view is about the same end result as an average defense that is consistent.
Thats because they are always on the field.

Seriously? I swear I have seen illegal touching this year? Learn something new every day.

I'll tell you what I already knew. Do not ever get your hopes up following this team.

With 3 picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, we could possibly trade back into the first.

Of course, then we'd have no 2nds or 3rds.

Some people would say that's a coaching problem.

I'd buy that if I'd never seen truly dominant defenses before. Unfortunately I have, and equally unfortunately, this Vikings defense isn't one of them.

I would put it more directly on the players for the types of mistakes being made, but yeah, coaching should emphasize sound technique and decision-making to minimize the impact of those errors.

You could say defensive PI since the defender forced him out of bounds. Good no call.

So, a GREAT example of poor coaching in this game has been the complete failure to prevent freakin' Dak Prescott from running cleanly for 1st down after 1st down. Sickening to watch a rookie QB constantly break contain and do that.

I have to disagree.

They're exceptionally good, and they're absolutely ferocious when they can play with the lead. The problem is they never do. This offense puts the defense in untenable positions possession after possession.

Give this team just an average offense, and the defense is 5-7 ppg better.
