Wasnt Ponder supposed to be the smart QB out of that class? Like a real high IQ? He certainly doesnt play like it. I still wish we had waited a round or 2 and got Mallet...

Hate to agree because I have been a supporter of CP but he is regressing badly I can't deny it anymore . He seems to panic under pressure lately just like last season and w ehave to throw more than ten yard patterns .

He shouldn't have been throwing in the 1st place. He's not a trustworthy QB, yet.

Just when I get some confidence in the coaching staff and the QB, they have a half like the one today. It was a terrible half, other than Percy Harvin, and they should consider themselves extremely lucky to be up by 7 at halftime.

The coaches clearly felt like there was something they could take advantage of at the end of the half. It was a bit foolish but it was aggressive and I don't mind that. They just need to make it clear to Ponder that in that situation, if the big play they called isn't there, his only remaining priority is to simply get rid of the ball. At that point the game, at that spot on the field, it should be an all or nothing play. Either take advantage of the weakness you're trying to exploit or bail on the play. Ponder tried to make something out of nothing and they almost paid for it.

play calling in Minnesota still sucks. Epitomy of stupid playcalling the last three possessions

If the Vikes run on 3rd down people complain, if they pass people complain.

Did Wade fumble a lot? I only remember him fair catching it all the time.

Who was the targeted receiver on that pass? I didn't see.

I don't think it's panic, I think it's an effort to do more than he needs to do. On the first INT, he wasn't panicking. He had a man open but he attempted a throw that was too risky/difficult for the situation and that wasn't going to gain them enough to justify the risk. The second situation was just... well, awful.

It's the situation... up 7 deep in your own end with seconds left is not the time to throw high-risk passes on the run. Basic.

i would have not complained if they ran. It's common football sense at that point.
