Cook definately needs the reps. He has only played a total of 20 games in his pro career, 6 games his first, 6 games his second and 8 games this year. He can return for the last two games with the Texans and the Packers.

My first thought was why bother. But after thinking about it, he needs the reps and should be out there. Although, looking ahead to next season, he needs to stay healthy and be productive.

Looks like Smith & Rudolph are good to go against GB.

That's good news. I have a hard time imagining Ponder playing without Rudolph on the field every down. I think that he'd either be sacked or toss the ball out of bounds every play without him.

Frazier said #Vikings are putting in plays specifically for Jarius Wright because of the confidence he's shown since getting his shot.

I think they should give Jarius Wright one of Percy's jerseys and see how long it takes the Packers to figure out what's going on.

Make it three games missed in a row for Percy Harvin.

The Minnesota Vikings downgraded their top receiver from doubtful to out on Saturday, leaving Harvin at home while they travel for Sunday's game at Green Bay

Percy Harvin - WR - Vikings

ESPN 1500 Twin Cities reports Percy Harvin's Week 9 left ankle injury was a Grade 3 sprain, which means a complete ligament tear.

The injury usually comes with a 4-6 week timetable, and Harvin is now in his fifth week of recovery. The Vikings were initially optimistic that Harvin could return Nov. 25 versus the Bears, but the pain has lingered and he's struggled to get in and out of his breaks. Harvin will reportedly attempt to practice on Wednesday and could play with a pain-killing injection on Sunday versus the Bears.

Percy Harvin - WR - Vikings

Coach Leslie Frazier admitted that he doesn't know if Percy Harvin's (ankle) season is over.

The sprain Harvin sustained back in Week 9 has proven to be far more serious than the Vikings initially believed. He was not able to practice Wednesday and is believed to have a complete ligament year. When Frazier was asked if Harvin's season is over, the coach said, "hard to say." Coaches are rarely that pessimistic on injuries even if they're forced to massage the truth a little bit. The outlook appears bleak.

Thats just peachy. Braylon Edwards was just cut. Sign Braylon and Johnson, cut MJ and Burton. GO!

Very bad news about Harvin. Let's face it. This offense is Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin. With Harvin out, that's a big chunk of missing offensive performance.

Regarding Braylon Edwards, I think the Vikings would just be signing another underachieving WR who is having health issues. That's not unlike the dynamic the Vikings already have with Jerome Simpson.

i do not disagree, but aroshamadu, burton, and jenkins should all be out of the league. when the patriots lose a wr, they go sign a vet. never know, it could help us.

They probably already have a good idea of what he's got, and if it hasn't been enough to beat out receiving titans like Jarius Wright and Stephen Burton, then no thanks.

They could probably raid a few other teams' practice squads and find better talent than they have, but then the problem would be insufficient practice time with Ponder and having to learn the playbook for the final three games of the season. The Vikings front office and coaching staff have given up on this season, so it's very unlikely that they'll do anything dramatic.
