I'm not worried about our pass defense vs Foles but our run defense might be pretty bad. Norv better have a game plan so Teddy can get the ball out quick and the line can open up some holes for AD. If Teddy holds the ball as long as he did vs. Chicago, he's going to get destroyed.
If both Barr and Kendricks miss the game, losing that speed in the middle of the field could open things up for Austin too. :( The Vikes pass rush is likely to suffer as well. Ouch.

I understand that all teams have injuries, but it seems like many of our players, especially on defense, are missing games... usually one game here and there, but I am concerned... we had issues with pectoral injuries and they had to change what they did, so I wonder if there are other workout regimens that need to be looked at.

Is it just me or does it seem like we didnt see so many guys skip games due to injury in the old days? Carl Lee, McDaniels, Doleman, Lowdermilk, etc etc seemed more resilient.......or maybe they just used better pan meds back in the day.......

Or they were more unaware of the long term damage that can potentially be caused.

You'd think a doctor would know that, but that's ok...

Just wonder how smart the Hodge trade was. You never know who is going to get injured.
Guess we will find out tomorrow how we do with backups.
One thing I don't like is how the coaching staff has been down playing injuries only to find out they are far worst.

Good news for us!!!

DE Robert Quinn, DE Chris Long and RT Rob Havenstein are all inactive today.

This already makes me feel a lot better about this game. Still have to contain the pressure up the middle but our tackles won't have as tough of a task

Audie Cole out for the season with a fractured ankle. I hope Kendricks is back next week.

Any chance Floyd and Kendricks play next week?

We'll know more this week when the team practices. I'd say Kendricks has a better chance than Floyd based on what I've read but there's a chance we get one or both of them back. I'd be surprised if both were out another week. Zimmer doesn't comment on injuries too much so the best indications will be the practice reports. I would think each would need at least one full participation by Friday to feel confident about their availability.

‏@christomasson Eric Kendricks won't say if his ribs are broken doesn't know if will play Sunday
@Andrew_Krammer Eric Kendricks, held out with rib injury on Sunday: "I'm listening to my body...in treatment every day." Declined to talk specifics
@christomasson Kendricks says he can't talk about his injury or Anthony Barr left arm in cast
@GoesslingESPN Eric Kendricks said he's getting treatment every day, but won't discuss specifics on his injury. Wouldn't comment on if he has broken ribs.

@GoesslingESPN From what I've heard on Kendricks, it's a pain tolerance thing right now. If the Vikings were in the playoffs, he'd likely be out there. As anyone with rib injuries knows, they hurt with even slight movements. Kendricks has become too important for Vikings not to be careful

The Good (from Zimmer 11/9):

Teddy should be good to go for Sunday (passed first concussion test)

Newman should be good to go for Sunday (passed first concussion test)

Barr should be "OK" (said arm "should be fine")

The Bad:

Unsure about Floyd, Kendricks

@christomasson Mike Zimmer said Teddy Bridgewater in next 48 hours has to be able to work out and not have a headache. Then good to go for Wed practice

Any word who is replacing Audie Cole on the rooster now that he is gone for season?
