Why would the Vikes want to play a preseason game against a team that was blitzing every play? You get almost no work at anything other than blitz protection and quick QB reads.

Do we get a choice??

Yeah. Sucks. Probably won't see him til the regular season, but that is fine. Just unfortunate. I think the Bills managed to stay pretty healthy, too. That's good. That's what ya hope for!

three cheers for letting Ponder getting out of the game after the first series last game!!! If anyone needs time with the first team offense against opposing defenses, it's Ponder, he seems no more comfortable now than before( last year), which boggles my mind because he seems more calm in playoff games. Who is this guy???

What a sad game, even for preseason. I see absolutely no improvement from the Oline or from Ponder or from our WR....it's pretty sad really. People love AD, they know he's good, but I think they still underestimate how great he is...the guy WAS our offense last year. Everyone else was garbage. It's never absolutely 100% one guy who is the reason for success, but if there was, AD is the closest thing to it. I feel it will be the same this year unless major changes occur.

Listen, people are going to defend Ponder and they're going to roast the guy- but for me, I'm trying to be as unbiased as possible and support the guy, but what I saw today did not cut it. Sure, it's true AD wasn't in the game so defenses played different. It's also preseason, and maybe no one wanted to show their hands, but c'mon bro......throw us a bone. Show us some potential. From what I saw, 3 plays the Oline got beat, and the rest of was Ponders fault for not stepping up into the pocket. I will say this- IF a QB doesn't learn to step up into the pocket by now, he'll most likely never learn. I'm not saying you can't win like that, nor will he suck, but it's going to be that much more difficult, especially for the OLINE. But I will give credit where credit is due, and I saw ONE play where Ponder actually moved around IN the pocket and fired a very nice accurate pass to Rudolph. To sum up, I'm just going to be optimistic about Ponder, even though in the back of my head I know he isn't the future for this franchise.

I'm with you... I'm hoping for the best with Ponder. I've been critical and probably will continue to be but if he can develop that serves us well. He can't always break contain and be running for his life towards the sideline. Step up! Needs to take a page from the Drew Brees book of quarterbacking. But I won't put it all on Ponder. Dude needs some help.

Leslie in the post game interview kinda eluded to the fact the they weren't expecting so much exotic stuff... This is the NFL dude. Whatever works! Who cares about the final score, they won most of the battles and made it look easy. I like Les but that was bs. I get its preseason but the lack of execution and preparedness is concerning...already. It's never acceptable to look inept.

Bro do yourself a favor and DON'T watch it. Only positive was our first string defense and Bethel Thompson and the 4th string offense. The rest of it made me sick.
