Put Ponder on the 2012 Chiefs team. How good do you think he'd look?
About as good as he did on the 2011 Vikings? Except he'd have Dwayne Bowe to actually throw to I guess.

Yeah, I can see that. Although, if Ponder was expected to carry a team, I can really see him struggling, even more than 2011. Still, it wouldn't be pretty. I'd even bet that he'd get run out of town too.
Any particular reason or basis as to why you think that he might "struggle" more than he did his rookie year with no pro experience, training camp and crappy wide receivers that seemed like they rarely were open or got any seperation.
With another year and a half of experience, a better receiving corp, better pass protection and the confidence he surely gained with the last four games that he played in he could "struggle" more  Not quite understanding the logic.

Perhaps, but unlike Ponder, Cassel was a 7 year veteran going into last season. Was he really asked to carry the team? They were 5th in the league in rushing yards and rushing attempts and Jamaal Charles ran for 1500+ yards and caught 35 passes for another 230+. It seemed more like he was asked to carry the offense.

I see your point. Cassel wasn't in a good situation last year but he also played pretty poorly.
