I just don't want to see them repeat the mistakes of the Childress era at QB.

And in two years we'll be saying we don't want to see a repeat of the mistakes of the Spielman era at QB.

I think it's time to sign another stop gap while we draft a QB or two and see what they've got. A situation like in san franciso. Maybe not an early first. But in the first few rounds. If there's someone there at say 12th overall or wherever we pick, fine. If not maybe next few rounds. But we need someone who can play the position, Ponder's a buffoon, Webb's a receiver, and MBT...has far more names then skills he brings to the table...

Ponder is horrible. He looked like a high-schooler against the Packers. Please bench him.

This is probably the 1st Vikings game Aikman has watched and he could see it.

If the Vikings cut Ponder tomorrow does anyone think he'd be picked up by any team?

Ponder is below average, vikings are below average.

Yep, pretty specific as well about a receiver in man coverage on the right side the QB should make the throw, and Ponder didn't even LOOK that way on the INT.

Every friggin game you have announcers pointing out things Ponder is ignoring, not even looking in their directions.

How many overthrows today? AD three steps Ponder bounces it off the defenders back. A half dozen rainbows. Two balls thrown right at defenders get dropped. Ignoring open receivers. Looking to run too soon.

Guess this wasn't even enough.

The question for some appears to be whether to give him one more full season, or two.

Take michael vick next season he will be available. With a good offensive line like the vikings have, he would play well. Seen enough of mediocre ponder yuck !!

Here's the thing. At this point I could care less if Webb or MBT are the guy long term. Ponder has to be benched for conduct unbecoming a NFL QB. Continuing to play him violates the integrity of the game. It's that bad. Start Webb vs the Bears. Demote Ponder to 3rd string. It IS that bad. The team left a win out there today.

I vote for letting Ponder finish the season. This was what the season was all about anyway. Webb can certain win some games, but ultimately, he is a gimmick QB like Tebow. I am not sure about Bethel-Thompson. Other then the Favre like fast balls, I don't know if he can read defenses any better then Ponder or Webb.

Let Ponder finish hanging himself and look into Vick/Smith/some random rookie in the offseason.
