Too bad there is not an Urlacher clone in this draft. That guy was unbelievably fast from sideline to sideline.frosted wrote: I have to believe that Zimmer would have preferred to stay in base a little more than we did, but Brinkley is a liability in a pass coverage, so it necessitated us going to nickel quite a bit.
I'd prefer if we stayed away from Maualuga, though, just my take.

With the draft in Chicago this year, I thought it would be cool to go. With a minimum price of $887 in the upper balcony, I guess I will be watching at home again.

I guess I will too. Wow, I figured it would be expensive but nothing close to that price. That's disappointing.

I can't fathom paying that much money to watch the draft...
Re: 2015 Offseason - Free Agent/Draft Tracker
What a joke - I was thinking about making the trip down.

My friend lives in Scottsdale, AZ, and he and a few others tried to get some scalped tickets to the Super Bowl, and the cheapest he could find was $9,000 for nosebleed seats. And he could easily pull that off, trust me. But he didn't want to pay that money for seats that were far away.mmvikes wrote:With the draft in Chicago this year, I thought it would be cool to go. Re: 2015 Offseason - Free Agent/Draft Tracker
Last year I was able to get into the draft for free. I was in town for a wedding and we decided to go check it out. The security lady there gave us tickets and let us in since we were from out of town. There was another guy who had the same thing so it must have been common practice. Maybe it was just because it was the second day and it was not as busy. It was still pretty crazy though. Got to meet Marvin Harrison and Ray Lewis as well as get my picture taken with the Lombardi tropthy the patriots just won

Sounds like he's not lived up to his first round grade. Sounds familiar.
Unless Sandra Bullock comes with him, I'd pass.

I merged the Oher topic into this thread.
Folks, if a player from another team is (or becomes) available and you think he'd make a good addition to the Vikings, please post about it in this thread rather than starting a new thread.
Thank you.

This would be an upgrade when it comes to depth. Oher would be a great guy to have back up the tackle spots. He's had years of starting experience and could still have some left in the tank.Texas Vike wrote:

I agree with the above post as well Jim. It keeps the board from getting so cluttered

I don't get the sense that he's imagining his role as a backup. We'll see what the market values him at, but I'd be fine with him in that role and taking that kind of a salary.
