This thread is making my head hurt.
A message board dedicated to the discussion of Minnesota Viking Football.

Seriously? It's the Vikings. As a fan you've got to be desensitized to this sort of thing by now. It's been annual, monthly, weekly, daily stuff for the past 15 years or more, beginning when Denny started to go batshit crazy and most of the players decided that spending a night in jail was fun.tmscr wrote:This thread is making my head hurt.
I am desensitized to it, but it's no less embarrassing. The fact that a player can get picked up for his second DUI in 3 months and NOT be the biggest off-field story of the day pretty much says it all. I may be going back some decades in saying that, but what's happened to this franchise?Eli wrote: Seriously? It's the Vikings. As a fan you've got to be desensitized to this sort of thing by now. Chris Kluwe said he "gladly welcomes the investigation. I have no worries at all there."
Kluwe's team mates that he says were present during Priefer's "island" comments are now going to be a major part of this issue and will likely be compelled to swear under oath whether Kluwe's account is accurate. It will be interesting to see who backs whom and how this all shakes out.dead_poet wrote:
I guess he did say that.maembe wrote: You didn't read the article?
Swear under oath? Are there going to be Congressional hearings now?Texas Vike wrote: Kluwe's team mates that he says were present during Priefer's "island" comments are now going to be a major part of this issue and will likely be compelled to swear under oath whether Kluwe's account is accurate. In case it's not obvious, I am not a lawyer. I mean to say that they will certainly be interviewed and will be asked to give a truthful account of the exchange according to their memory.Eli wrote: Swear under oath? Are there going to be Congressional hearings now?
It certainly sounds like they're taking it seriously.dead_poet wrote:
Well its a good thing he gladly welcomes the investigation and has no worries about it. Because we all know its just about him.dead_poet wrote:

There's that approach or a really long Onion headline:Hunter Morrow wrote:why couldnt this happen to one of coaches who cannot coach?
feels like The Onion...
"Only competent Vikings coach fired for upsetting chris kluwe."
Chris Mandel, whom Vikes hired to investigate Kluwe allegations, probed 2009-10 Fiesta Bowl political scandal: http://bit.ly/1lFzvrw
Mandel did not have subpoena power in Fiesta investigation. Witnesses had lawyers present and they were not required to testify under oath
