@MikePereira
That hit on Rodgers was legal. He was out of the pocket on the run.

Wow, man. There was absolutely nothing, repeat nothing illegal about that hit. Nothing. Mike Perierra said it ... he was outside the pocket and no longer under the 2-step rule (and it wasn't even two steps). Troy Aikman, pretty much a Rodgers sycophant, changed his tune and said it was fine. Barr didn't drive him into the ground. He actually DIDN'T land on him with his full weight, but even if he had, it's not against the rules or even dirty.Purple Reign wrote:Sounds like you were trying to justify the hit on Rodgers wasn't borderline just because he didn't use his full weight. Ask Rodgers if he thinks the hit was ok. Just because it didn't get a flag doesn't mean the league thinks it was okt. Let's wait and see if Barr gets fined for the hit or not. I'm not saying he did it deliberately, but I think he didn't have to drive him to the ground like he did either since he knew Rodgers had already thrown the ball.
That game was 45-10 in favor of New Orleans.808vikingsfan wrote:

4-2. 1st in the North. Nice ring to it
Assuming DET is still losing
Agreed. That didn't look like a drive at all. It was a clean hit.J. Kapp 11 wrote: Wow, man. There was absolutely nothing, repeat nothing illegal about that hit. Nothing. Yet here you are, complaining on behalf of the OPPONENT.
Totally confused by this entire conversation.
And I'm not saying it should have been a penalty, just that it was unnecessary. But like I said, that pretty much ends my fantasy season since I have both Rodgers and Nelson so I am a little biased.me4get wrote:People whing about the hit on Rodgers need to remember the rules that protect the QB in the pocket, don't apply outside on a rollout.
