The play calling on that drive was gutless and pathetic. It seems like we just gave up and decided to ust take time off of the clock rather than try to mmove the ball.

I hope not. Time off the clock doesn't do us any good. 2 minutes is plenty of time for any team from their own 40 or midfield.

No confidence in the deep passing game is one thing... taking out your all-world running back when you need 3 yards on 3rd down is quite another.

Wow. I'm not liking what I'm seeing at all. Way too many penalties. And the defense looks vulnerable - and if it looks vulnerable against the Cards, we'll get smoked by a good offense. And Ponder is looking like last year's version. And Peterson was just out on a critical third down deep in our own territory - bad coaching to me.

Can anyone give me a reason for optimism here - not for this game, since we are still likely to extend the Cards losing streak to 3, but for the season?
