I am sorry, but Jared Allen and James Harrison =/=.

I just don't see any reason why we would target Harrison. We don't have the cap space or have a need for a declining outside linebacker that doesn't even fit our defense. We don't play with a 'joker' outside linebacker and James Harrison would be man handled as a defensive end in a 4-3.

Jared Allen is four years younger, a 4-3 DE that hasn't missed a game due to injury that I'm aware of and has never been suspended for "dirty hits."

But, you know, other than that they're exactly the same.

Greg Jennings - WR - Packers
Free agent Greg Jennings said quarterback play will be a big factor in his decision.

"To me, the quarterback means a lot, if they have one or not, and I have to make sure my family is comfortable," Jennings said. It's an ominous statement for the Vikings as Christian Ponder faceplanted last season, posting under 200 yards passing nine times. Minnesota might have to overpay to land a desperately-needed No. 1 wideout.

Harrison also likes to run his mouth about fines and bring more heat down on the team he plays
for.. Talented player but selfish and stupid IMO pass on him

34 sacks in the last two seasons. 45 in the last three. Eighth in the league last season in sacks playing through a torn labrum. #3 of all defensive ends. What more do you want?
yet getting a big pay check.
Because he's still one of the premiere 4-3 DEs in the league. He's paid accordingly.
But keep on making sarcastic remarks to try and make a point.
Sorry if my facts are coming across sarcastically. :(

Chris Gamble - DB - Free Agent

Free agent CB Chris Gamble is planning to retire.

"A number of teams have expressed interest in (him)," Gamble's agent said in a statement. "However, Chris informed me last night that he wants to retire. Even though he still loves football, he told me that he's decided to focus on life after football." It's stunning news for a 30 year old who seemed to have some good football left, but could be an indication the shoulder injury that limited Gamble to four games last season was more serious than previously thought. Perpetually underrated since being the No. 28 pick of the 2004 draft, Gamble will finish his career with 27 interceptions across 123 games if he's indeed hanging up his cleats. It's possible Gamble will reconsider once training camp rolls around.

Victor Cruz - WR - Giants
Citing "several NFL sources," the New York Daily News reports the hangup in Victor Cruz's contract talks with the Giants is that Cruz wants to be paid like a No. 1 receiver.

Though Cruz outplayed him last year, the Giants consider "X-Iso" Hakeem Nicks their true No. 1. Cruz plays in the slot, considered a less valuable position in the league, and GM Jerry Reese seems to not believe he's worth the $11 million-per-year price tag top wideouts command. The Giants assigned Cruz a one-year, $2.879 million restricted tender and hold virtually all of the leverage.

Greg Jennings - WR - Packers

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora believes free agent Greg Jennings may still return to Green Bay, which would lead to Jermichael Finley's exit.

Packers GM Ted Thompson smartly scheduled Finley's $3 million roster bonus for March 27, giving himself time to dissect Jennings' value. Per La Canfora, Jennings' market doesn't appear to be "shaping up as some assumed it would." The Packers have stayed in constant contact with Jennings for the past several days.

Why would GB even consider Finley over Jennings? Is there something I a mmissing? Finley is good for one drop per game, minimum.

Darrelle Revis - DB - Jets

Citing a source with knowledge of the situation, Profootballtalk.com reports the Buccaneers are Darrelle Revis' likely landing spot if the Jets agree to terms on draft-pick compensation.

New York received a "good" trade offer for Revis on Monday, and now Tampa Bay has been revealed as the team that offered it. PFT's Mike Florio believes the package will be headlined by a 2013 second-round pick or a future first-rounder due to the fact Revis is still in rehab mode from a torn ACL. The Jets are "poised" to act quickly on Revis, so this may be their opportunity to pull the trigger.

Exactly what I was wondering, and why I was hoping the Vikes would get Jennings, if they knew they were losing Harvin.

What about Amendola? He's injured but the guy is one heck of a player and would be cheaper/younger than Jennings.

Yep, and Spielman has shown hes not concerned about former injuries, this guy is worth the chance, imo. Unless he, like PH, thinks hes worth more then he is.
