Free agent DT Henry Melton will visit the Seahawks on Friday.
As if the Seahawks needed to get stronger up front on the defensive line. Melton's market has been relatively quiet -- he's visited the Vikings -- but if he's struggling to find better than one-year offers, going to Seattle to rehab his value on a prove-it deal could be the best option. Melton had 13 sacks from 2011-12. Source: Josina Anderson on Twitter

Daaaaamnnn.
That really pisses me off that it's Seattle. I #### hate Seattle. He's going to be a great pickup for whomever signs him.

Yeah, I was really hoping that they cut a deal with him for 1 or 2 years last night. Already had come up with a name for our new interior DLs. Hammer Melton and Anvil Joseph.. Hammer and Anvil. Oh well, back to the drawiing board!!
I feel like we hold him back with guys like K-Will and Melton, but I trust Zimmer & his judgement. Melton was elite but it'll be interesting to see what his burst is like now

I'm with you, but I don't think having another guy like Melton in the mix will necessarily hurt Floyd's development. If anything, I feel that by allowing him to rotate in and out more, he'll be more fresh throughout games, and as such, his production will be better. I feel like Floyd will see the field plenty, regardless of whether we bring Melton in, but I do think Melton would be a HUGE signing for us. Seattle showed last year how valuable a strong defensive line rotation can be - I just have this feeling that Melton is this season's Michael Bennett or Cliff Avril.
I would be kind of extremely ecstatic if we signed Henry. I still have very high hopes for The Sharrif as well. Would love to see Melton and Floyd together on the inside on third and long type situations, etc.
Free agent DT Henry Melton will visit the Cowboys after the Seahawks.
Melton isn't expected to sign with Seattle on his visit, unless he his blown away by an offer. Melton has expressed a desire to play for the Cowboys in his home state of Texas. If Jerry Jones can work the money right and fit Melton into the budget, he'd be a much-needed talent for a currently-talentless defensive line. Source: Clarence Hill on Twitter

The Vikings will consider free agent OG Travelle Wharton if they are unable to re-sign free agent OG Charlie Johnson.
At only 33, Wharton hinted at retirement earlier in the month. This could be an indication he has changed his mind. Wharton is a superior talent to Johnson despite being three years older and would provide a needed upgrade at left guard.

Don't know much about Wharton but at this point I'm pretty much at ABP status with Charlie Johnson.
