WOW Defensive Stand? Somebody slip some steroids in the Gatorade?
Re: Lions @ Vikings Game Day DiscussionThread -- Week 17
It's nice to see Williams get a sack in his last game at the dome and perhaps his last game as a Viking.

well you should be happy that we can't drop any furtherJeffbleedspurple wrote: Actually we could use a higher draft pick, I don't think we want to drop any further down the board.

You can sign your own free agents at any time.VikingPaul73 wrote:Does anyone know when a team can start re-signing its own free agents? Is there any lock out period after the season? Or can they sign their own free agents any time??
I know the external FA signing period begins March 11th, but not sure about internal free agents?

Tell that to the fans at the Dome, see if they give a sh!t about losing a draft spot.Jeffbleedspurple wrote: Actually we could use a higher draft pick, I don't think we want to drop any further down the board.

Regardless, it still gives Frazier no excuse to have him on the bench all season. And if it wasn't for Simpson's DWI, he still possibly wouldn't be getting much time. The DWI was the only reason he started. This goes for the rest of the injuries/legal troubles we had and its the only reason guys are playing. Don't you find it odd that every one of them are playing better than who was previously in that position.
-Ponder gets hurt, Cassel comes in and outperforms him
-Simpson gets a DWI and Patterson gets the start, has been exploding since
-Rudolph goes down, Carlson comes in and shows how he is being underutilized
-Henderson gets a DWI and Cole comes in, Cole outperforms him and gets the nod
-Robinson gets hurt and Rhodes comes in, outperforms him by miles and miles.
....I'm pretty sure there is a problem there and that is all on Frazier and his staff. It's not just Patterson, its everyone else thats filled in for injured/troubled players. So yes, Frazier and his staff should be blamed for that. He let all that talent sit the bench throughout half the season and now they're proving him wrong and making him look dumber and dumber for not having them in the game.
Ugh. I'm not getting into this same tired argument again. All I'll say is the positives you want to bludgeon him with all happened on his watch and nobody has any clue whether they would have happened without injuries.
It's easy to play coach from home after the fact.
Well I would have to imagine that would NOT happen. You have to understand that the only reason those guys got the playing time they did, was because of the injuries/legal troubles and in turn, they were next in line. If that's not Frazier's fault then I don't know what is. Much of this boils down to him being fired tomorrow along with many other reasons.
And it's not easy to play "coach" from home....I've been saying Rhodes and Patterson should have been starters from day 1, I've always said Carlson was paid too much but at the same time, is underutilized, and Cassel should have continued starting after the Cleveland game. Cole obviously came out of the blue. However, this isn't something that I just came up with today....it's been an ongoing thing for quite some time now.
These are the same guys that didn't see anything wrong 3 games into preseason....hell 1 game into preseason. If it's not obvious CP is our best player now and has been for some time then that's a problem. And to your point CP is just 1 example of many. That's exactly why these coaches will be fired tomorrow. They were not in touch with the talent level of each and every player = underachieving = fired. There are fans that know what it will take to return to greatness and others that know what it takes to be a .500 team. To defend what this staff has done all season is defending mediocrity. These guys are dead men walking.
