I really liked the no quit attitude tonight. After going down two scores this team could have mailed it in. They didn't. The coaches made some gutsy calls and the whole team rose to the occasion and didn't let the past failures dictate the present performance. Nice job Vikes!

Agree. I think Erin is almost as much of a crutch as Robinson is on D. Hodges was a Saftey so he must have some coverage skills.
I really want to see Hodges. Erin is weak, as is Marvin Mitchell. Mitchell is just so stupefyingly slow. I dream of having a solid LB corps. We have to see what Hodges can do--possibly Mauti too.
I had noticed that Sendejo lays the wood previously, but in this game he was taking trips to the lumber yard. He's vicious in run support, but I haven't noticed how he does against the pass. That probably means he's at least OK, b/c I certainly notice Robinson and even Rhodes getting beat very frequently.

Sendejo is a liability. Yeah he can whack RG3 but he always goes for the big hit and often doesn't take guys down, hence getting steamrolled numerous times by Morris. He needs to learn he's not on special teams anymore and wrap a guy up. I thought Blanton did a better job.

When has Blanton played? Been looking forward to see what he has.

He was rotating in opposite Sendejo. He wrapped up Morris on a few plays.

I saw plenty of guys not wrap up (Greenway, Robinson, Mitchell) but Sendejo? Not as much. His hits got into RG3s head. You could see him protecting himself and be a lot less eager to run/ expose himself. That's not something to dismiss IMO.
The other negative? (Oh wait… wrong thread!!!) was JA selling out for pass rush so bad. Mayock called him out on it several times. Since we're on positives--awesome to see Williams play so well and to see Everson emerge a bit. I wonder if they plan to have Everson take Allen's spot next year if JA walks.

Sendejo has missed a lot of tackles the last two games. Like I said, he popped RG3 a few times but he tries to do that to every player and it often results in him missing the tackle. He plays safety like he plays special teams, he's not a gunner anymore and needs to realize he can't just charge into someone head first.

I'll watch for what you're saying, but so far I haven't noticed this at all. I have noticed that opponents are afraid of him though. They can feel him coming. The guy explodes on the ball and I like seeing someone hit like they mean it (especially now that we are lacking Smith).

I found these notes from the Dallas game. He was better against Washington but he missed tackles on Morris.
The back-breaking play came on 2nd-and-10 from the DAL 45. With 1:30 left, safety Andrew Sendejo jumps the wrong route as Romo pump fakes to the flat. Bryant then came free on the post route and caught the pass in stride. Safety Mistral Raymond missed the tackle and Sherels chased him down 34 yards later to the MIN 21. Coach Leslie Frazier said afterward that this was the one play he would've changed the call, but it appeared to be on Sendejo, who put himself out of position trying to make a play on the wrong route.
Sendejo and Raymond showed flashes, including Raymond's hit that jarred the ball loose on receiver Terrance Williams in the second half. Sendejo has impressive closing speed, but little control so far. He closed in and popped running back Joseph Randle after a gain of three on sixth defensive snap. However, Sendejo missed multiple tackles and was the main culprit in Bryant's 34-yard reception on the final drive that put Dallas at the MIN 21.

Coming into today's game we had league's best kickoff returner and punt returner.
Feels good to be good at
something.

Which makes you kind of wonder why his first 118 snaps only produced 6 catches for 34 yards. Is it Ponder not getting to him in his reads or is it Musgrave being his ultra conservative self and keeping him in to block?

Start Chase Ford and he'd have solid games too. Same with Shank Dawg and Wiggins...especially with Check Down Charlie Bummy McBumBum at Qb....
